$14 for 2 empanadas and a couple croquettes, empanadas are extremely flat with hardly any filling and croquettes are very greasy. I’m fine with paying extra for a quality product but that is just not what you get at Gilbert’s if you want empanada wrappings either no filling to double the cost of any other location then this is your place.

They should have a policy of no dogs inside- there are a lot of containers of pasteles and other foods practically exposed at the bakery, to have someone with a huge dog on a chain sniffing around come in. Groced me out. I’ll go somewhere else for pasteles next time!!! And on a different note, the staff is unfriendly and rude…they have a nasty attitude
I had a very pleasant experience at Gilbert’s bakery. The service was very pleasant.
The service was very pleasant, and the products were excellent.
Excellent customer service.
Without a doubt, I give five stars to the service and attention.

Really bad, the cod croquettes have no cod flavor and are greasy, the cakes do not seem to be baked and have excess sugar in the guava mixture, no sweets taste fresh, and the customer service is terrible, in conclusion they do not have a good relationship quality-price. It's a shame!!

Terrible customer service they profile you from the jump. I stood in line with my family for three minutes and because I’m a dark brother, they did not tend to us as soon as a white man walked in. They said good morning to him. I walked and was not satisfied.

This is the worst bakery every! I live in the area and the times I have been there, the wait has been long and the quality of their desserts are horrible - I think Winn Dixie and Publix bakeries do a better job. My husband brought me these little sandwiches from there this morning, and told me they were mini medianoches and Elena Ruth. When I saw them I laughed because it was actually a little sweet bread with some ham slices, a little slice of cheese and a pickle, and the Elena ruth same type of bread with turkey instead of ham and the worst jelly ever - and for that they charged $2!!!I don't know how people eat their desserts. They really need to change their bakers and actually they need an overhaul! However, people buy because it is the only bakery in the area.

Best coffee that I have ever tasted, the cortadito was just amazing that and together with the great customer service and friendly workers just made it even better. Despite beign a little busy at some point they still managed to make sure that I felt that they care about me as their customer so when I tasted the nice coffe too on top of that it was even better. I will come back and try more of ther other items
Recommended dishes: Cortadito
Terrible! My parents used to take me and my sister for the best postelitos of guayaba. Today my husband and I stopped by at the 57th and Bird location. Have not been there in a while, the girl was nice but the food should have been in the garbage. What a big disappointment! Looks dirty, the door was filthy, the meat pastelitos were probably made 3 days ago, guayaba, and the croquetas were awful, worst I have ever had. How sad, a great location but they should close down. Never again!!!!!
Today is my birthday and my sister sent me a platter and a cake. The delivery dropped it off. However, the cake is sideways and falling off of one side smh!

I’ve been eating at Gilbert’s Bakery for as long as I can remember, always getting a pastelito de queso and a café con leche. But today, I decided to change things up and try the vegan “beef” pastelito—and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! It was incredibly delicious. I also had the seasonal iced cortadito with pumpkin espuma, and I have to say, it’s the best pumpkin-flavored coffee I’ve ever tasted—way better than Starbucks or Dunkin’. Plus, it was only $4.85!

Delicious coffee and savory bites! Reminds me of my childhood. Their cortadito is unmatched!

The quality of the food has seriously declined over the years. Too bad.
