As first time customers, my fiance and I treated a dear friend to an omakase dinner last night and we were blown away with Gokudo and Chefs Cole and Garland! The 4 seats only setup was intimate and perfect. The Chefs were very friendly and personable and the presentations and tastes they delivered were top notch! They were unfortunately sold out of the kobe croquettes by our seating time, so just another reason we'll be back. I can't recommend this place hard enough, go there! See you guys again soon!

I'm hopping on the 5 star train. We (out of towners) stumbled upon this place hoping it would lift us from the depths of a long and arduous bachelor party weekend, and lift us out it did. The three of us had a private dining experience with Chefs Garland and Cole, and they were so fun to talk to. The food was stellar, and I wish they were in my hometown so I could go there more often.Keep doing what you guys are doing! Looking forward to dining at one of your expansion restaurants.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a restaurant with perfect 5.0 rating but I’d give a 6.0 if I could. Gokudo exceeds expectations. Amazing food, great vibes in this small hidden sushi spot. Best sushi in Miami, maybe the best I’ve ever had. Chef Garland and Chef Cole are masters of their craft.

Orgasmic Omasake It's one thing to honor tradition and modernize cuisine through fusion or complex flavor techniques. Yet can it be that simple to isolate no more than a few ingredients to illicit a flavor foodgasm and atmospheric vibe? A seating here titillates developed palettes and delights, organically, unlike lesser quality popular fast casual spots or scenic expensive restaurant concepts. 'Gokudo' means trust, loyalty, respect. The selection, preparation, composition, and pairings pay highest homage to the original tradition of 'Omasake' with a puritan approach and just right, unique subtleties. If selective, note some of the establishment's unconventional approaches: air fry fish with avocado oil; scratch sauces such as honey wasabi; warm, fresh rice (does not sit, made every 2 hours). Less is more and the non-pretense of this four-seat counter, low lit, unmarked location sushi speakeasy aside from taste, stimulates the other senses. The house curated playlist features independent artists. Chef co-owners engage diners directly and accommodate dietary preferences and impromptu adaptations. Nigiri is suggested to eat with fingers. Plating is visual art. The Gokudo experience will seduce sushi connoisseurs.

My Wife and I were wandering through Brickell, looking for places to pop in and snack. We were so lucky to find this place. Our food was fantastic, at incredibly reasonable prices, especially for the quality. The experience itself was amazing, we had such great conversation with the Chefs (Garland and Kohl), not to mention the other patron that was there (I dont want to butcher the spelling of her name, but she was lovely as well). Everyone was so nice, it felt like lunch with long lost friends, I believe we were meant to walk in the door of this special little place. Next trip back to Brickell, we will definitely be stopping in to reconnect with our new friends. So don't be stupid, stop in if you are in the area, and have an incredible experience for yourselves.
