Restaurant was closed for non payment of taxes. Surprise for us who had looked forward to eating there and found only a locked door with a notice from the county. OpenTable should have been award of the situation instead of taking our reservation.

The food was great. I had escargot and the only thing missing was a little more sauce to it!The foie gras and truffle pasta were perfect!Service was on point.Great dinner overall! Definitely recommend it.

Sad that the food was good but that was all. The presentation and how it was served was wrong, escargot served with a regular fork not a small fork, dessert served with a soup spoon not a dessert spoon. They had AC either off or very low inside and front door was wide open, by the end of the dinner we couldn't stop sweating, extremely hot and uncomfortable. The place had only 3 tables full the entire time, by the time we finished at 9:45 there was no one in the place other than us. Decoration and how tables set up looks like it is not finished, had no ambiance for dinner at all. Perhaps this is a breakfast and lunch place only and not a dinner place especially in Coral Gables.

I have eaten at Gustave's several times but this time I was unhappy with my dinner. I ordered the citrus pesto fish with jasmine rice. The rice was under cooked and I informed our server Reimundo who promptly took my plate back to the kitchen. A couple minutes later he came back and said the cook was making a fresh batch of rice. Well, this takes a while and I asked for him to at least bring back the rest of my meal as my husband was already eating and I didn't want to make him wait for me. Needless to say I waited about 15 minutes and they served the meal again. And again the rice was undercooked. By now my husband was done eating and I asked for potatoes instead. Rice is the simplest side dish to make and any chef should be able to make simple white rice in their sleep! It ruined my evening with my husband and I was very disappointed!

This restaurant used to be excellent. It seems it is under new management and it shows. The restaurant was empty. There were only 3 staff members in the whole restaurant on a Friday night 7pm (1 waiter, 1 hostess, and 1 chef). We ordered some of the same menu items that we had ordered previously. The menu descriptions were the same but the dish was completely different. The beef Bourguignon used to be like a braised short rib dish. This time, it was like a pot roast stew in a bowl. The quality of the ingredients and the cooking style have changed. The restaurant is priced like the French fine dining establishment it used to be but it is now a shell of the restaurant it used to be. I would not recommend returning to this restaurant if you ate here before the change. There must have been a change in ownership because it is a completely different restaurant.

Very slow Wednesday evening - we were the only diners. Carpaccio and onion soup were good. Branzino was good but heavy on the sauce. The beef bourguignon was the downer for the entire evening. Serving size was a cereal bowl for $38, beef pieces were exceptionally dry, carrots were barely distinguishable and I could detect no lardons at all. There were 8 small pieces of potato - smaller than 1/2” squares that had been boiled and then appear to have been tossed in as an afterthought. Did not finish even the small portion. Very disappointing as we had high expectations and the place looks great, and our service was friendly and prompt.

We went there for dinner. Huge mistake. Small, bland portions, ridiculously expensive, and the ambiance was resembling the one of a cantina. We paid $28 for 3 bites of foie gras, $44 for a tiny duck leg and bland potatoes. The rice was dry and flavorless, and the beef was chewy. The staff was nice, but didn't make up for the ridiculous prices and the quality of the food. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This is a great French restaurant, the food is authentic, delicious and their kitchen has a good turnaround so you won't wait too long to eat, please don't leave without trying dessert as they have some yummy options.

Parking: They are right on Miracle mile, so you can do street parking or park at a garage in the pack of the Miracle mile strip

Me and my girl had a lovely time at Gustavo today. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. This place is the only place in Coral Gables I found with authentic French food. I highly recommend, if you love French food come check it out.

We made the best if it, enjoyed a bottle of wine, Carol our server was most attentive and apologetic yet even the profiteroles were not tasty. I'll return as anyplace may have on off day yet another lacking experience would be my last.

Myself and my friend Micaella were extremely pleased with the wonderful service, delicious coffee and amazing food at GustaveEspecial thanks to Raymond and Luis - they were extremely professional, patient, kind, attentive! They are superb with customer service and go the extra mile to help customers. They are for sure, in the generation of today, a rare find. A 120 plus to the cook as well - food was perfect, and flavorful. Love this place
