The food was great. I had escargot and the only thing missing was a little more sauce to it!The foie gras and truffle pasta were perfect!Service was on point.Great dinner overall! Definitely recommend it.
I have eaten at Gustave's several times but this time I was unhappy with my dinner. I ordered the citrus pesto fish with jasmine rice. The rice was under cooked and I informed our server Reimundo who promptly took my plate back to the kitchen. A couple minutes later he came back and said the cook was making a fresh batch of rice. Well, this takes a while and I asked for him to at least bring back the rest of my meal as my husband was already eating and I didn't want...
Very slow Wednesday evening - we were the only diners. Carpaccio and onion soup were good. Branzino was good but heavy on the sauce. The beef bourguignon was the downer for the entire evening. Serving size was a cereal bowl for $38, beef pieces were exceptionally dry, carrots were barely distinguishable and I could detect no lardons at all. There were 8 small pieces of potato - smaller than 1/2” squares that had been boiled and then appear to have been tossed in as an afterthought....
