This place is AWFUL. Conveniently placed for the architecture students, but the empanadas were stale the one time I tried them. The coladas are $2.40 but they dont know how to make a decent colada. Just make the walk to Cafe Bustelo in GC and don't bother with this place.

Had a spicy chicken and a spicy beef empanada ....nice logo printed on The exterior...... . The spicy beef was a bit dry but the chicken was mo juicy. Wish I walked two stalls over and got the bahamian beef pie.

I come just for the coffee. Pretty pricey for empanadas that are usually not fresh.

Two regular empanadas just cost me $9 inside of an academic institution? How is this place still in operation? Don't try waiting at the counter for someone to pop up, the attendant only comes out if you ring the bell which is kind of annoying. Can you imagine had I gotten a combo? The prices are definitely not worth it because I rather go to Vicky Bakery a few buildings away. What gets you is the enticing flavors and your brain needs fuel to keep going in a school like this so I guess people fall for it. One empanada combo costs $8 which is far more than it should be. They're not even crazy large portions for them to insinuate such unfair pricing. I won't fall for this trap anymore. They aren't even that tasty and the pepperoni one wasn't even melted.

Good empanadas. Friendly staff. Great customer service. Liked the dulche de lecherous mini ones to snack on plane!

I had them for lunch and they were so dry as to be inedible. The are probably kept warm for hours, otherwise there is no explanation for such dryness. How about warming them up just before serving?
Stopped in here before my 6:55 am flight and assumed they would be serving a newly baked batch since it was early morning. I was wrong. The empanadas were stale, cold, and clearly from the night before. Garbage.

A good option for a quick brunch while waiting at the MIA airport. They have a good variety of pastries and the best part of it all is choosing which one to eat!

Too expensive and always the wmpanadas are cold.

HME is the gold standard of empanadas. Period, end of story. If you're not munching on these empanadas, you haven't had the best of the best.

The service at this spot is pretty decent. The short older lady always seems to be in good mood and always greets customers with a smile. There is a decent amount of outside seating at the restaurant. It's located on the corner of parking garage 6 which is convenient for me in the mornings when i wanna grab a quick bite before class. As for the food they have some of the best empanadas I have had in Miami. Okay that might be a bold statement but as far as FIU's campus they have the best hands down. I also like their orange juice that is fresh squeeze it is a little pricey though. I really like their cheesy gancho and spinach empanadas which are good options if you're vegetarian. The half moon special is pretty good as well and the guava pork bbq pies comes with a guava bbq sauce that is okay. As far sweets theyre nothing to rave about even the dulce de leche empanadas they're just okay. Overall it is a pretty nice spot and I would definitely recommend people to give it a try.
