Howling Wolf Bar & Eatery

Don’t usually leave 1 star reviews on newer businesses, but after spending $100 on food here I feel this is some constructively critical feedback management needs to hear….

Unfortunately not one dish was good:

-The shrimp tacos were packed with cold coleslaw which overpowered the shrimp and made the grilled tortillas cold and soggy.

-the Caesar salad tasted like any basic lettuce tossed with store bought dressing and croutons.

-the “Crispy” Honey Pork Ribs were not crispy by any stretch, served lukewarm and just overall not cooked well.

-Worst of all was the “Mediterranean Octopus” which was very poorly cooked and also lukewarm as if it’d been sitting out a few minutes before being brought to our table. We respectfully pointed this out to our server because it was completely unappetizing, and instead of owning up to it by at LEAST offering to remake it (any service-oriented business would offer this or a removal from the tab), he doubled down and argued “I wouldn’t serve you anything that isn’t fresh” then left us with a dish we clearly were unsatisfied with and offered zero remediation. This isn’t our first time having octopus so we’re confident in the fact this dish was very below par.

What a let down considering all the good reviews. Personally won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend to others if you’re coming for the food.

I rolled in right after my hair cut appointment and found som excellent happy hour prices on good cocktails. The bar bites are also interesting and affordable. Elvis and Victor took good care of my friends and I at the bar, and we had great conversation as well. It felt very different from most places in Miami where you can't talk to people. This felt a lot more welcoming than most places I've been.

Elvis is the best server and bartender I have ever had, please ask for him!! This is a hidden gem on the edge of edgewater miami! I am not a bot, this is literally an incredible place that no one knows about. If you want cool vibes without the hassle, this is the place for you.

This was our first dining stop on our trip to Miami. All our food was delicious and our waitress Dani was super charming and helpful, would come again just for her! Our group particularly enjoyed the Schnitzel and the octopus dishes.

Came to Howling Wolf to see if it would be a good venue for our rehearsal dinner and it blew us away. The restaurant is small but there is a private room that is gorgeous. The space is rustic with a little bit of glam with chandeliers hanging throughout the restaurant and private room.
Elvis was our server and he was amazing. He was so friendly and took his time telling us his recommendations and about the restaurant.
I had the Rooster and my fiance had the Lobo(?) burger. Both were fresh and tasty.
Overall a great lunch with great service and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Nestled in the corner of the Square station Apartments, Howling Wolf Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that combines delicious food with a cozy ambiance and exceptional service.We started our meal with the zucchini soup and shrimp ceviche, both of which were bursting with flavor and freshness. For the main course, we tried the portobello mushroom burger and breaded chicken burger, and they were both absolutely delicious - a perfect balance of taste and texture.The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, with chill vibes, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal with friends or a romantic dinner.A special shoutout to our server, Elvis, who provided top-notch service with a friendly smile. His recommendations were spot-on, adding to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.Overall, Howling Wolf exceeded our expectations with its delicious food, great ambiance, and exceptional staff. We can't wait to return!

Burgenlanders meetBurgenland (Austria)!One of our highlights in Miami was the restaurant HOWLING WOLF!!!The extraordinarily nice service and the super good food and then the meeting with the boss (Burgenlander) - simply brilliant!!! The menu is exactly how you need it for a proper delicious adventure. Truly unbelievable culinary experience which fills both, cravings and expectations, when dining here. The staff are also next level with there humbleness and engaging with clients. A true diamond among the ruff... stunning place10/10
