Great local cuisine and exceptional service. We reserved a table last minute and we're able to get a table.

Our dinner at Iguanas Cocina Puertorriqueña at the beautiful Rio Mar Resort was an unforgettable culinary highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico. We kicked off our meal with the cheese appetizer, which not only tasted incredible but was stacked in such a way that it resembled a Minecraft house—a clever presentation that had our 7-year-old absolutely delighted and entertained. Even the older boys were impressed by it (and that's saying something). The cheese was perfectly complemented by a rich guava dipping sauce that we couldn't get enough of. The shrimp appetizer also got rave reviews from the teens—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For mains, the Rio mar Salad with Caribbean cherry vinaigrette and fresh papaya was my personal favorite—vibrant, fresh, and bursting with tropical flavor. Our youngest enjoyed a plant-based meal of vegetarian nuggets and vegetarian meatballs, which was great to see on the menu for health-conscious families. The older boys each ordered heartier dishes—perfectly grilled skirt steak and a juicy chicken breast—and both plates were wiped clean. The sides were equally memorable: sweet potato fries, cassava sticks, and fried plantains gave everyone a chance to sample the island's rich flavors. The Iguanas Punch was a hit with the teens, who (now that they're of age) loved having a taste of the local cocktails. I treated myself to a bottle of wine that was surprisingly phenomenal—not only was the quality exceptional, but the price was close to retail, which made it an even better experience. The night ended on a sweet note with the dessert of the day—a banana foster cheesecake that we all agreed should've been ordered individually because it was THAT good. Lesson learned: next time, no sharing. The service was warm and welcoming, and the entire meal felt like a celebration of Puerto Rican flavors, crafted with care and creativity. We would return in a heartbeat and recommend it to any family looking for a delicious, memorable night.

Hands down the best restaurant at the hotel complex. Food was incredible and the vibe of the place was really nice.

The menu was limited, there were 6 entree options and one was not available. 5 appertizers, we had shrimps and chicken, nothing special. The waiters were changing between the courses, it was confusing. The food was overall good, a bit salty. The steak was moist and tender, the pork was fatty but tasty. Lava cake excellent. The noise level was high, music was very loud, customers had to yell to hear each others.

We made a reservation here for last night because the rest of our trip is Monday- Wednesday, which is when they are closed. We walked from the Margaritaville Resort, but they also offer a shuttle. The ambiance was incredible, and we got some amazing photos of the landscape. They brought us over champagne for free as it is our honeymoon, but neither of us drink, so we just asked for nonalcoholic drinks. The food was good, I just wish they served entrees with a side. I'd go back! Very friendly people.

Prajerio was an amazing server. Very attentive to detail, always on the lookout to provide assistance. While we were close to the closing time, he still offered another bottle or dessert. If you visit, ask for Prajerio to be the server, you will not regret it.

Our server, Pedro, and the other servers were amazing. Helped us decide on our meal and checked on us throughout the evening. The food was delicious, presentation was amazing. Top notch.

We chose to have our birthday dinner here and the food was AMAZING. Great portion sizes and beautifully decorated. Our server was very attentive and even offered free dessert for our birthday. We chose to dine outside and the view of the rainforest was breathtaking.

La comida siempre es buena pero esta vez no nos encantó el churrasco. No estaba malo pero siento que está por debajo de la acostumbrada calidad de sus platos y que tampoco vale el precio que tiene. La atención como siempre, excelente.

Located at the Rio Mar golf club with convenient self parking. Great staff and food makes for a pleasant dining experience . A bit pricey like most places now a days. Lots of couples and happy family vacationers. I recommend.

Nuestra reservación era a las 8:30pm llegamos a las 8:35pm. Desde antes de llegar nos llamaron y nos querian tomar la orden por teléfono sin haber visto el menú. Mientras nos dictaban el menú por teléfono llegamos y nos sentaron y dijeron que teníamos que pedir todo porque la cocina cerraría en 10 minutos. Apenas nos dejaron ver el menú y ya estaban preguntando si estábamos listos. Nos pidieron que ordenaramos las bebidas porque la barra también iba a cerrar. Cuando llegó la comida, la mesera vino más de 10 veces y hasta nos ofreció un "to go" y ni siquiera habíamos terminado de comer. Nunca ofreció postre y sin haber terminado de comer nos cobró la cuenta. Estábamos celebrando el cumpleaños de mi novia y nos fuimos disgustados por el constante hostigamiento.

First time visiting this restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious! Everything was seasoned, great presentation and perfect temperature. The service was excellent! Special thanks to Raily and Christine for their service.
