Avoid this place. They were shut down twice in 2025 for roach infestations, with live and dead roaches found all over the kitchen and dining area, filthy surfaces, bad odors, broken tiles, no soap, and staff not washing their hands.
They also forget drinks, constantly mess up orders, and are overpriced.
For a place claiming Japanese standards, they’re a disgrace to Japanese cleanliness and food service. Asqueroso 🤢

The food was alright and reasonably priced. However the wait time seems to be the issue with this place. There was only two tables with people being serviced yet it took 45 min to get our food and they never brought the appetizers. They are extremely understaffed and the only staff they have are not quite effective.

This place has gone down the drain. The food is still good, but less than before. Nevertheless, the food has taken over an hour to prepare. It was always an issue before, but now it’s worse.

So, this iron sushi is closed. Umaimon opened up in its place and Umaimon is way better! It has its own Google maps listing.
This review is based on a pick up order
Came here to pick up an order made by phone during a Friday just before closing time around 10:30. The place was almost empty. From what I can saw, they do not have a lot of space available for dine in.
I ordered Spicy Tuna Roll and Salmon Sashimi. It was super fresh, delicious. The portions are decent.
I found it a bit pricey but considering the quality I think is fair.
I hope to try it again soon and try to dine in this time.

Visited this location after ordering from numerous times. The place is cozy and clean. Lots of wood in the place, like most traditional sushi restaurants. It has nice windows overlooking the little area which is a mix of residential buildings and shops. Reminds me of Brickell Key without the high end cars, high end golddiggers and high end children of the ultra rich who can't drive, cut you off while taking selfies blaring music and... Ok, it's nothing like Brickell Key.
So anyway, the place is nice. Small but intimate. Staff was nice, bilingual which is always a nice touch. Prices are fair and the portions are good. The sushi is almost always excellent. Fresh and cooked to order. Food doesn't sit here in a display shelf.
I didn't get to eat at the place, but would have. Favorite items are the Salmon tempura roll (taste wise as good as higher priced restaurants, if not better, in my humble opinion), the tuna avocado and the dragon roll. Fried gyoza was nice as well. Again, portion wise, it's a go to favorite that hardly lets one down. Filling and enjoyable.
There are some tables outside under an awning, good for those who enjoy random people passing by and staring at what your eating or if you want to vape or smoke. Inside looks better.
Not a whole lot of parking and the spaces that are there have those heavily enforced parking app things. 1 hour is about $3.
Parking could be better but one can't have perfection.
I would recommend the place, snag a table, enjoy good conversation and have a nosh.
I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't pretentious and actually wants good quality controlled food without nonsense. Prices will not break the bank and the place is easy of the eyes and wallet.

Small cozy spot for local sushi. Had some great sake and shumai but I’m not that impressed with the flavors of the rolls. What I like is the option of ordering the family style rolls which give you the option of trying a bunch of different rolls but they all taste the same, which is mostly white rice and a bland protein. I would stick to maybe the appetizer and sake.

Overpriced
Kitchen so dirty, with roach and poor clean elements, someone should close this cause could give a fatal sick on us.
Cheap sushi site. Ordered via uber eats for pickup. App shows estimated time to pickup, 20 minutes. Arrive at site, cashier tells me 15 more minutes. Wait for more than 40 minutes and I see that they just placed my ticket on the kitchen. 45 minutes to receive a simple sushi roll.(Ordered at 12:16, arrive at 12:36, receive food at 13:16). Be prepared to wait lots of time. They charge 1 dollar extra per item when you order via uber eats.

Great service. Yummy Sushi. Underrated joint. Dragon Roll is what I do but that's just me everything solid...
