With a red eye from LAX, we needed to replenish our bodies before our haul to the Bahamas and stumbled upon the Islander Bar for breakfast. Travel thru MIA 3-4 times a year. Stopped at ISLANDER last April and server ( manager maybe ) at bar told my wife and I about their fresh local fish ( at an airport?!?!?) it was excellent and priced fairly … ( so were the bottles of wine )
Fast fwd to 4 Dec … he waited on us again and remembered our exact order!!! Such a great guy at a really good AIRPORT restaurant… go figure!!

This place was packed, but we could definitely understand why. Hubby and I ended up sitting at the bar, which was totally fine. The bartender was friendly and very attentive.
Hubby had the Cuban Angus burger, and I had the lunch special fish tacos. The portion sizes were perfect! Hubby's burger was cooked perfectly to his liking.
