Went to Joey's with family to celebrate an event. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our dinner, but the service was a low point. Most of the staff were great, and we were offered complimentary champagne upon arrival, but our server was horrible. He barely came by during the meal after taking our orders, and we even had to flag down someone else to get our water glasses refilled. We had someone in our party order a beer, and all the other drinks arrived except for the beer. We followed up after 20 minutes and were told by the server it was coming. We waited another 15 minutes and asked someone else, who finally informed us that the keg needed to be changed and that it would take another 15-20 minutes. There was poor communication and a lack of attention throughout the night. He then added a mandatory 18% gratuity to the bill since we had a large group (8 people). To Joey's credit, the manager that we discussed with afterward took immediate steps to correct the situation and reimbursed the gratuity.

First time at the restaurant. I was greeted right away by Gaby who confirmed my reservation and seated us - later checking to make sure everything was fine. Angelina was our server and was fantastic! The food stole the show and we will be coming back!

JOEY Aventura was a great experience for my mom's birthday. I initially made a reservation about a month and a half in advance and made a few modifications prior to the actual date. Once our time came, we were greeted with complimentary champagne and great vibes. The ambiance was welcoming, the staff were as attentive as they could be for our party of 17, and I really enjoyed my food. I had a matcha mojito, the shrimp and scallop ceviche, and the steak/shrimp truffle ravioli. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town. Thank you guys again.

It has been a while since my last time at Joey, more than a while actually, it had been actually years. My last time was in 2022 at their Woodland Hills California location.
This location has not been opened for too long, perhaps a year or so. Once I learnt they opened this location, I have been trying to come and see if it was as its sister location in California. I finally made it for lunch a couple weeks ago and my experience was good overall.
I had the Mediterranean bowl, the katsu chicken salad and a spicy margarita.
Let’s start with my least favorite, the Mediterranean bowl. While it was good, not great but good, I think it was too pricey for what you get, specially the chicken portion. You would expect it would be a bit more generous for a $27 bowl.
On the other hand, the chicken katsu salad was delicious. A salad without a good dressing is not a good salad, and this one had the perfect dressing. The chicken was nicely fried, so crispy and it didn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. All in all, I would drive to Aventura just for this.
I had their spicy margarita and it was refreshing and strong, so good.
Looking forward to my return.

First ordered the ceviche. This was one of their new additions to the menu. It was truly unique and unlike any other ceviches I’ve had elsewhere. Loved it! (See photos) Then also had the sushi cone - never had that before too. Delicious! Then had the sea bass as my entree. Very light preparation - incredibly tasty and well made! With the fish itself super fresh! And very well presented too! (See photos) And then finished it with the crème brûlée cheesecake! Very well presented and almost the perfect dessert - not cloyingly sweet but super tasty!
The atmosphere was super nice and welcoming. It was a weekday afternoon - so relatively empty. But I can see this place getting busy and buzzing during dinner time.
Angelina was my server. She was super friendly and knowledgeable. Guided me every step of the way, made recommendations, and verbally gave me previews of the tastes - so that I knew what to expect all the way. She even brought her phone over to look through together where else Joey’s are located, when I wanted to know if they are anywhere in the northern states.
Incredible experience all throughout! Went away with a happy smile!

We rolled in without a reservation but luckily, Anna was there to save the day. She greeted us with a smile, good energy, and somehow made the wait feel like part of the experience. Great spot overall, and with service like that, we’ll definitely be back (with a reservation next time)! 🥰🤤
