We had the lunch sampler which lets you pick 3 courses (starter, main & dessert). Everything was great. The craft cocktails were perfection and the view didn't disappoint. The restaurant was clean and the the service was friendly. We would go back again :-)

Incredible view but the bathroom was disgustingly dirty, the food wasn't great and the crowd was very interesting.. it was also very loud

I've dined at this restaurant many times in the past and never had an issue—until now. I had made a reservation to host international friends visiting from abroad, looking forward to sharing what I thought was one of my favorite spots. Instead, I was met with a situation that was embarrassing, humiliating, and completely avoidable. Nowhere—not once—did the reservation confirmation mention a dress code. Nothing in the booking process warned us of any clothing requirements. So you can imagine our shock and discomfort upon arrival, when we were informed we didn't meet some arbitrary standard that had never been communicated. This experience was not only upsetting, but it also caused me significant embarrassment in front of my guests. What should have been a lovely evening turned into an awkward and frustrating ordeal. I would have expected much better from an establishment I've supported over the years. A simple note on the reservation, a reminder email, anything would have sufficed. But to be blindsided like this is unacceptable. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously—because as of now, I'm not sure I'll be returning, and I certainly can't recommend this restaurant to others anymore.

Horrible service. Had to wait 30 Minutes for a glass of wine. Food was ok but entrees came out at different times. Very messy and unorganized. Just a terrible experience all around.

If you like dining with blasting music, this is your place! Food and view are great, but music is so loud you can't talk to your guests.

Food nasty very bland no seasoning no flavor no taste drinks trash not made well and it seems like the Hispanic hostess maybe racist I do not appreciate the way I was treated and disregarded train your staff appropriately or hire new ones that show respect to everyone no matter the race or ethnicity.

Beautiful location and restaurant. Brunch was great! I can only imagine how dinner would taste. I'll be back soon. Waitress was sweet and attentive. Highly recommend 🫶

Such a cute spot with great vibes—perfect for a romantic dinner on the beach. You can sit indoors or outdoors, but I'd definitely recommend a reservation. Just keep in mind that it gets chilly and windy after sunset. Food-wise, it was hit or miss. The tzatziki dip was super refreshing, but the crusted sea bass had zero flavor (though it was cooked well). Overall, the food was decent, but not amazing. Service was just okay—not bad, but nothing special. I get the hype, and it's a great place for apps and drinks, but I wouldn't come here expecting an incredible meal.

Server forgot to put in our apps. Brought our main course then said she forgot. I had to repeat like 5 times what we wanted and you could tell she really just wanted to go home and didn't care. This place fell off hard.

Atmosphere was fun and live. If you are going to come here you are going for the views and drink not the food. They accommodated us well !

My wife and I booked the "Veuve" at the Sun Club on March 27. When we arrived, we were told they did not have our reservation. Showed them the confirmation email, but it didn't matter. We were told to return to the entrance and talk to multiple people who kept redirecting us to the restaurant. When we went back to the restaurant, they "found" our reservation, yet we were told that they had stopped doing the "Veuve" at the Sun Club. We told them that we paid over $200 for the event, and they told us that it was taken off their website, and they were not sure how we were able to get tickets for the event. The manager met us and apologized and provided a fruit basket, which was nice, but the attitude of the staff was very rude. It seemed like a hassle to take care of their customers. Would like to go back to try it again but not sure I will unless things and attitudes change.

Never as good as the original. Food was cold. Presentation was sloppy as if food plopped on plate. Not refined or sophisticated, more like diner food. DJ could reflect chill brunch vibes more than feeling like a 16yr olds hyped up birthday party. Shame. Location still special. Just how it's run isn't.

We had a rude server today. He was almost yelling at us. Because I wanted to modify the meal. He said I’m not going to get it here.

Negative atmosphere despite the inviting interior design.

We canceled our order and left. Not nice. Could do better.

The view and location are lovely but mediocre food and aggressive waitstaff that will intimidate you to over tip to them. Be aware you have to spend 100$ per person at the beach club - for the food it’s just not worth it. If you’re sitting on the beach you have one small table to put all your stuff on so naturally you start moving things to your chair so you hunch over to consume it, which is so uncomfortable. Not luxury at all.

Disappointing and Disrespectful Experience – Never Again!

I wish I could give zero stars to Joia Restaurant after the nightmare of a visit we had. My friends and I had an amazing time here last year, so we were excited to come back. Big mistake.

From the moment we arrived, the service was horrendous. The waiter was rude and dismissive, acting like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. When we asked to sit at the beach tables (which were mostly empty), we were blatantly lied to. First, they said the tables were all reserved, then they tried to extort us for $50 per seat, only to still claim they were unavailable—yet, mysteriously, NO ONE sat there the entire time we were there.

To make matters worse, the manager was just as dismissive and unprofessional. We couldn’t shake the feeling that we were being racially profiled as Asians, which made the experience even more disgusting.

Joia Restaurant clearly does not value its customers, especially if they don’t fit their preferred “demographic.” Avoid this place at all costs, especially for lunch—unless you enjoy terrible service, blatant discrimination, and being scammed.
