We had reservations and we called to our table 15 minutes after our reservation time. While heading to our table we were stopped as our table was not ready. We stood there for a few minutes waiting to be seated Finally getting to our seats, everything else was amazing. Highly recommend waygu dumplings, fired chicken and skirt steak. Also our waitress was so nice and delightful.
I was sat 45 minutes after my reservation time. I was sat at table that hadn't been properly dried since the table before. And the extra settings were left until just before food started coming out. I had to wait about 7-10 minutes to eat because I had no silverware and had to ask twice. Dj was good Food was great! Not sure it's worth dealing with the other stuff though.
We waited an hour after our reservation to be seated. The food was good and came out fast though.
Mal servicio, esperamos 1 hora y media para sentarnos, la comida llego muy tarde, los baños asquerosos. No regreso
Had reservations at 8:30pm and did not get seated until 10:00pm. Ordered steak medium and received rare.
Our recent dinner at Komodo Miami was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish, marred by consistently poor service and baffling decisions. The only*positive was the food, which was well-prepared and consistent. Running slightly late, I called to notify the restaurant. The hostess was rude and dismissive on the phone. Upon arrival, the same hostess was equally unengaging. Her eyes were glued to her iPad stylus, offering zero welcome or eye contact. She set the tone for a sour evening right from the first interaction. After waiting 7 minutes, we were crammed into a tiny, unpleasant corner by the door, despite the restaurant having numerous visibly open tables, especially outdoors. When we politely requested an outdoor table (seeing plenty available), our request was dismissed with a claim of "no availability." Throughout the entire evening, we watched those same outdoor tables remain empty, with no additional patrons seated. There is simply no justification for stuffing paying guests into a miserable corner at these premium prices when better options were clearly unused. Our waitress was generally pleasant and did her job adequately throughout the meal. At the end of the meal, expecting a dessert menu, we were instead presented with the check (which was also incorrect). When I questioned if she meant to offer dessert, she bluntly said "no, the check." After I expressed my expectation of a dessert offer, she suddenly backtracked and claimed it was the dessert menu! This confusing, unprofessional exchange felt like either dishonesty or incompetence and was the final straw.
Juan, my server, and Luis, one of the managers I spoke with, were both very welcoming and made me feel like a special guest of the restaurant. This was my first time there, and the food was some of the best I've ever eaten, and I've eaten in New York Chicago Los Angeles and lots of other big cities. Komodo is spectacular.
I'm not a first-timer at Komodo, and usually, my experiences have been great. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. Even with a reservation, I was initially seated in the far back—outside, upstairs in one of the bungalows. Normally that wouldn't be an issue, but in the peak of August, with no breeze and overwhelming humidity, it was extremely uncomfortable. After raising the issue, we had to wait another 20 minutes, but were finally moved inside, where the ambiance matched what we've come to expect.
Our reservation was at 11:00. We asked every 15 minutes, and the receptionist kept saying there were many people waiting, just like us. After 45 minutes had passed, I told her I was going to cancel and asked her to do it so I wouldn't be charged. That's when the table magically appeared. The food was good, but the receptionist was awful — she should not be dealing with the public.
Seated at 1-:50pm for a 9:30pm reservation. It was chaos and they were the least bit bothered.

We waited over an hour for our reservation, they overbooked. I asked a staff member and they said they happens all the time. I don't know why they would allow us to book a timeslot if they weren't gonna have tables available.
Waited over an hour to be sat even with a reservation. Got sat outside and not enough fans for the table.
This is my first review ever - but I'm currently writing this at 11:04 PM, two and a half hours since our reservation. We had to stand and wait an hour before being seated (we had a reservation). We ordered the 3 course Miami Spice menu and are receiving each course about 45 minutes apart. The portions are TINY - I have consumed enough calories during this meal so far to satisfy a very small toddler. We have not seen our waiter in an hour. We are hungry, thirsty, tired and paying $100+ each for this meal. If you're reading this, go somewhere else.
I've been to Komodo a good amount of times and this time was my worst experience ever. The food was ok. The service was HORRIBLE and the drinks were watered down.
Cero recomendable.
