Hadn't been there since the reopen and I am very pleased to report that the food is still great. So many good choices on the menu with the Duck burnt ends being spectacular.
The short rib and brisket are amazing The service is great, our server was very helpful The only drawback is the price of the drinks. We each had two cocktails and the bill was 50% beverage and 50% food.
Overall, it's a great place to dine. I had a black garlic, angel's envy manhattan that was superb. The hamachi crudo definitely a palate opening dish. The crispy kale was over fried and was ash-like but, the sauce was delicious. The Korean chx bao buns and the brisket made our mouths water. The server was pleasant and sweet. My daughter and I definitely enjoyed our birthday dinner.
Outstanding Experience! From start to the end everything was perfect and Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Easily one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Can't wait to go back!
We visited during spring break. The music was loud for a midweek lunch, the food was mostly average (the bao buns were delicious). It seems like a trendy place for people to Instagram about but food wise it's nothing special.
Un po' rumoroso e aria condizionata alta anche se temperatura all'esterno piacevole. Pancetta su piatto segnalato vegano
KYU is the epitome of the Miami scam-the-tourist attitude cloaked in the veneer of a neighborhood spot. I had been excited to try the recently remodeled KYU for months. We put our trust in the chefs and tried the chef’s tasting experience only to find it was simply a full retail package of the highest margin items on the menu for what seemed to be a to-the-penny summation of full menu prices with nary an amuse bouche, flourish, off menu item, or extra of any kind. Instead of rewarding a diner’s good faith with something special or even having a protein focus given KYU’s supposed cheeky take on Korean bbq, KYU’s chefs served up crispy kale at 16$, dry broccoli for the same, cauliflower with with bland sauce, dry fried chicken at many multiples of Joe’s staple, low quality tuna crispy rice, and basic fried rice. The only good dish of the first 7 courses was the short rib, which was excellent.
Asking for a manager resulted in the supposedly newly hired beverage director who couldn’t care less, could not point out any factual inaccuracy in the detailing of their high margin full retail bundling in the name of a tasting menu. He made no offer to help in anyway or even ask if there was another course we may have wanted to try. Instead he just walked away snarkily trolled us saying he looks forward to seeing us back soon. Like KYUs disgusting bathrooms that didn’t appear to be cleaned all night, he, and KYU as a whole are full of it.
Skip it and go next door to the wonderful Sparrow, or go to Michelin starred Cote that despite the star and pricier rent of the design district, has a tasting menu for 50$ less per person that is actually delicious (the butcher’s feast).

Our waitress was incredibly attentive and very nice. The food came out at appropriate intervals from each course. The food was absolutely delicious. Each portion is just right too!
The ambiance is phenomenal and there is no shortage of good vibes to add on to everything else good!
10/10 would recommend!!

I visited this Kyu location two years ago, and it was much better back then. This time, I went for NYE, and the experience was just okay. One major issue was our waitress charging us for items she had previously told us were sold out, so I had to carefully check the receipt. The wait times for both appetizers and the main course were quite long. The coconut cake was just as delicious as I remembered, but overall, I wouldn’t return.

Me and my boyfriend have been coming to KYU since 2021, it’s our favorite spot in Wynwood!
Manager Kimmy was so great to us, very nice and welcoming!
The guys at the bar Christian and Edwin were also amazing, the entire experience made us feel special🫶🏼
The Korean Fried Chicken, roasted califlower, fried hot pot rice with duck and the snapper would be our picks

It took out waitress almost 15 minutes to come with water… twenty minutes for their amber lager. Our food came out of order (appetizer, main plate, appetizers) and it took almost an hour to get our KALE chip appetizer. Our waitress didn’t even apologize for the drink delay she grinned and set the drink down on the table (the girl with the neck and arm tattoos). We get a busy night, but slightly better service or atleast attentiveness is appreciated.
