I'm not someone who usually goes out for ice cream—truth be told, I rarely step into ice cream parlors at all. But life has a funny way of changing your habits, especially when it leads you to a first date. La Michoacana was the meeting spot, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to make a first impression.
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming and full of life. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and positive energy that immediately set the tone. Even for someone like me who isn’t big on sweets, the variety of ice cream flavors was both impressive and tempting. I went for something bold—tequila and pistachio—and wow, both were absolutely A+. Creamy, flavorful, and unforgettable.
But what truly sets La Michoacana apart isn’t just the quality of their ice cream—it’s the ambiance. The decor is colorful, vibrant, and full of personality. Every corner of the place feels carefully curated, making it feel more like an experience than just a casual stop for a treat.
And then there’s the sentimental part: that night turned out to be one of the greatest of my life. Something about the energy of La Michoacana, the thoughtful presentation of each dessert, and even the subtle details in the décor made it feel like the universe had dressed the place up just for us. It wasn’t just a date—it was a memory. And La Michoacana played a big part in that magic.
If you’re in Homestead and looking for more than just dessert—looking for a place that feels warm, authentic, and a little bit special—this is it.
Stinky old run down over expensive
A different place, the experience is very good, perfect to go with the family and share. The ice creams are very good, something different and fresh than usual, I recommend it 💯.

Store with typical Mexican items such as piñatas and hot sauces and on the other hand foods such as tacos, juices and ice creams. I ate tacos al pastor, mamey juice and coconut. And the shortbread ice cream (yellow). Everything had a very good homemade flavor. The presentation is simple, as is the place. To park you have to look around the streets. Very good service.

We get ice cream piñatas and candy here. It’s a little piece of home. The staff is friendly and the prices are great for their homemade Ice cream. We recommend them to everyone we know.
