The carne asada was extremely fatty and rubbery. The fried plantains tasted old and stale. Definite quality control issues at this place.

I used to live behind this place in the 90s. We would have it once a week. Moved to a different county over 20 years ago. Any time I go to Miami this is my must to stop. I cannot come back home without this food. Specifically the steak. I’ve tried the fried cheese not disappointed by it.

I've been coming to this place for over 20 years. I've seen multiple management come and go, but it appeared that recently (few months) management has changed again. The customer service is subpar, unfortunately there is -in my opinion- no excuse for poor customer service, even in a Nicaraguan fritanga. A smile and simple greeting goes a long way. These simple customer service traits must be implemented and enforced from then top-down. I get that the employees in this type of restaurants are not the most sophisticated kind, but simple courtesy and good treatment of customer should be a personal goal. Prices: In part with other fritangas with a plate of food around $12

Good fritanga but tough competition with other nearby fritangas

I've been coming here for 15 years, and everytime they change administration it gets better. The people that own it now have remodeled the place. Customer service is there but this is a Nicaraguan Fritanga not an4 star dining place.Food is served abundantly and priced right, you can technically make two meals out of one serving unless you are hypo that eats 5000 calories a day.I believe the owners and some of the staff at least, are Christian believers which even though it has nothing to do with food, it is refreshing to me since they hold themselves to a higher personal standard and it reflects on their treatment to others.Variety is medium but very tasty. Nicaraguan cook very healthy without many additional condiments as opposed to Cubans. There is limited seating inside (5 seats) and they close late like 9:30 pm.

My husband had a hankering for some down home Nica food on a Florida trip so we tried out La Nueva Fritanga. We got a very generous container (enough to share) with pork, rice & beans, platano, queso frito and cabbage slaw. We ate it in the car (thank you COVID) but it was quite satisfying. We also picked up a couple of nacatamales to have later for dinner which were delicious.

I ordered food from this place through DoorDash and they sent me food that I seemed to be cooked from days before. The taste was so bad that I had to throw away all the food. Not even the tajadas were good

I ordered 2 carne asadas from this place and 2 extras. Well, my extras did not arrive. I called in and they could not bring them but offered for me to go pick them up. There's a reason why I ordered delivery... This was annoying but not as bad as the food itself. Although the carne asada tasted well and was cooked as specified, only one piece was fully edible, the other was too chewy, ended up throwing away half of it. The tajadas were very few compared to the usual amount many other places around give and they were obviously old. The gallo pinto was also old. I don't know how old it was but it looked and tasted SEVERAL days old. Not OK to be serving that to customers. This made questions several things about this place. Overall, I would NOT be ordering again from this place. There are way too many other good fritangas around. Unfortunately, my first experience was too bad to be willing to give this place another try. The main killer: old, re-heated food.
