My most honest review after working with Santiago and his food truck. At first I was attracted for his part time job offer, he promised $12 an hour + tips or $15 with no tips an hour. That turned unfortunately for me and fortunately for him $12 an hour and no tips after 2 weeks of working with him, without any previos discussion he just made the decision and did not ask me what I wanted, when I asked for the tips he deny them, because tips were destinated so he can pay the fees for the square machine. To make it even worse and way more sad, he didn't pay the training of the first 3 days i worked for him, because I was in "training" I got it, to get the training for 2 hours the 1st day, ok, then the second day for 4 hours. Mmmmm ok, but the third day a training of 7 hours? that of course was never discussed and he just did it his way after that I have worked with him 2 weeks already, and decided not to pay those days. Food is quite good I like it, the monsterella burger is my favorite, I did learn all about the food truck the first day, not too much science to the food. It is simple and yummy. However 2 or 3 nights on the food truck I started to see the cockroaches, some small babys and a couple of them massive. I was fine using the poison, there were not too many but I still get used to see them and spray them every other day, my best guess is he has to change the wood trailer floor that had some wholes due to the excess and wear, of course in order to do it some bigger money is needed and on my 3 weeks there that was a big no no, just keep spraying. Anyways, Santiago is a nice person or at least that's how he sells himself and that gives you that chill vibes that you are looking for when working for someone. I decided to quit after my 3rd week as I was very disappointed with him, no paying training, no paying the rate that was discussed, keeping the tips for Square machine and the cockroaches that were giving me goosebumps. I quit, and untill today he has not pay me the 3rd week that I worked for him, 6 months have passed and he has been always telling me, he didn't have money, but he was looking forward to pay me, it was his low season and asked me to please be patient, he asked for some days, a week, a month, and finally today he says he has no intention to pay me. Of course this review has to do directly with the money he owes me, I did call some lawyers today and he will be receiving some notifications soon.
