I have been a La Social client for several years and my entire family lives within walking distance of the restaurant. I called ahead for pickup of a latte and an açaí bowl, before I even finished my sentence, the employee interrupted me asking me if I’m only placing a drink order, and I replied saying no, that I’d also like an açaí bowl please, and to my surprise, he rudely replied saying “we don’t allow for drink orders for pick up” and I told him I’ve done this dozens of times and he said “well we have changed” and I explained I am alone with a 12 month year old with me and I am 6 months pregnant and I cannot wait inside for 15 mins today so if I can please place my order for pick up I’d greatly appreciate it and I’m already on my way and will arrive in 10 mins. He said no that they cannot and they’re too busy and they don’t allow it. I let him know that they have lost a very loyal customer along with my entire family and friends in Miami Shores and Belle Meade. I proceeded to calling Pura Vida who happily took my order for pick up regardless of their or my situation. I am sharing this so you are aware of the customer service and think ahead in case you are also a busy mom just trying to get a breakfast in - think twice before going to La Social.

My wife brought me to this restaurant, and at first it looked okay, but I was very disappointed. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold. Later, we found out there was someone famous dining there, and it honestly felt like the staff was more focused on that than on the rest of their customers. It seemed like because we weren’t “important,” our table didn’t matter.
Unfortunately, I would not return or recommend this place to anyone.

Great selections of breakfast and brunch items. The drinks were great and the service was excellent. The place seemed a bit tight in space depending where you're sitting. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend!

The place is beautiful and the food is excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the atmosphere is great.
Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. When I asked if coffee with milk was included with breakfast, the server replied in a rude and condescending way: “Honey, this is a restaurant????”. From that moment on, the service felt uncomfortable and unprofessional.
When I asked for the check, I was told that payment had to be made inside. This should be communicated during the service, not abruptly at the end. To make things worse, the server tried to add the tip without asking how much I wanted to leave.
The food and the location are excellent, but the attitude and behavior of this server made the experience unpleasant. If I were served by her again, I would not return.

I hosted my company holiday party at La Social Miami for 40 guests, and the experience was outstanding. The food portions were extremely generous, the service was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to cater to every need of my guests. Everything ran smoothly, and our group felt well taken care of from start to finish. I’ll definitely be hosting our event here again next year.

Horrible, never come on a Sunday to study. They told me it’s for brunch only even though it was empty and there was no sign saying you couldn’t study. She also said it in a rude way. Needless to say I am never coming back to a place where they kick you out for studying.
Perfect balance of flavor and strength in every cup.
Horrible place and the owners' attitude is very rude…. Run 🏃♀️ 🏃 🏃♂️

Had the sweetest brunch with Shereece and it was perfect! The vibe was super cute, the food was amazing, and the free mimosas were such a fun bonus. Loved the atmosphere—light, cozy, and just the right amount of bougie brunch energy. Absolutely loved everything and can’t wait to go back! 🥂✨
Had a wonderful experience at La Social!! The food is delicious and Shereece was so sweet and amazing! We will definitely be back every Saturday! What a beautiful hidden gem!!

On Friday we attended an event at this restaurant that apparently wasn’t expecting… guests.
Our job’s administration paid for a full “family-style meal for 30.” What we got? Snack plates that wouldn’t have fed 10, much less 19 of us. If all 30 had shown up, we might’ve had to draw straws for portions. Hunger Games: Brunch Edition.
Then came the “unlimited mimosas.” Except they ran out of champagne after FIVE drinks. Yes, five. The owner sprinted out to buy more, and while he was gone, we were offered nothing. Someone asked for a Coke, and the answer was, “We only have Sprite.” At that point, I started wondering if we were on a prank show.
We didn’t even have serving utensils until someone asked for them. If we hadn’t, we would’ve been scooping food with our eating forks like we were at a picnic. At a restaurant, for a prepaid event, this is unacceptable.
Croissants? They said yes… then changed the answer to “we can’t because that’s outside your tab.” I didn’t know carbohydrates came with fine-print.
We later learned they don’t even have a liquor license, yet still charge a $25 bottle fee — but only if the bottle is wine or champagne. Make it make sense.
The vibe? Instagram says cute, clean, and trendy. The truth was a run-down, awkward space with music playing from an iPad hooked to a tiny speaker using YouTube — with ads. Every few minutes we were interrupted by a commercial, and honestly the ads had better production value than the restaurant.
For how much was spent? I’d rate this experience a 0/10, and that’s me being generous. Not recommended. At all.

If I could I would give 0 stars!!!
I recently attended a brunch here that was supposed to accommodate 30 people, but only 19 showed up — and somehow the food STILL wasn’t enough. The portions were more like light snacks, definitely not what you would expect for the price paid. They even ran out of Prosecco and had to leave the premises to buy more from a different establishment. There was no Coke available, and when we asked for a different type of alcohol (like beer), we were told they didn’t have anything. For a paid event, that’s unacceptable.
The outside area was extremely disappointing. The photos on social media make it look charming and well-maintained, but in person it looked run-down, messy, and neglected. Broken decor, scattered items, leaves and dirt everywhere — nothing like the polished images they use to advertise the place. It honestly felt unprofessional and poorly kept.
Overall, the experience did not match the price, the preparation, or the expectations set by their online presence. I would not recommend hosting an event here.
