On Friday we attended an event at this restaurant that apparently wasn’t expecting… guests.
Our job’s administration paid for a full “family-style meal for 30.” What we got? Snack plates that wouldn’t have fed 10, much less 19 of us. If all 30 had shown up, we might’ve had to draw straws for portions. Hunger Games: Brunch Edition.
Then came the “unlimited mimosas.” Except they ran out of champagne after FIVE drinks. Yes, five. The owner sprinted out to buy more, and while he was gone, we were offered nothing. Someone asked for a Coke, and the answer was, “We only have Sprite.” At that point, I started wondering if we were on a prank show.
We didn’t even have serving utensils until someone asked for them. If we hadn’t, we would’ve been scooping food with our eating forks like we were at a picnic. At a restaurant, for a prepaid event, this is unacceptable.
Croissants? They said yes… then changed the answer to “we can’t because that’s outside your tab.” I didn’t know carbohydrates came with fine-print.
We later learned they don’t even have a liquor license, yet still charge a $25 bottle fee — but only if the bottle is wine or champagne. Make it make sense.
The vibe? Instagram says cute, clean, and trendy. The truth was a run-down, awkward space with music playing from an iPad hooked to a tiny speaker using YouTube — with ads. Every few minutes we were interrupted by a commercial, and honestly the ads had better production value than the restaurant.
For how much was spent? I’d rate this experience a 0/10, and that’s me being generous. Not recommended. At all.

If I could I would give 0 stars!!!
I recently attended a brunch here that was supposed to accommodate 30 people, but only 19 showed up — and somehow the food STILL wasn’t enough. The portions were more like light snacks, definitely not what you would expect for the price paid. They even ran out of Prosecco and had to leave the premises to buy more from a different establishment. There was no Coke available, and when we asked for a different type of alcohol (like beer), we were told they didn’t have anything. For a paid event, that’s unacceptable.
The outside area was extremely disappointing. The photos on social media make it look charming and well-maintained, but in person it looked run-down, messy, and neglected. Broken decor, scattered items, leaves and dirt everywhere — nothing like the polished images they use to advertise the place. It honestly felt unprofessional and poorly kept.
Overall, the experience did not match the price, the preparation, or the expectations set by their online presence. I would not recommend hosting an event here.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at this establishment. What was advertised and promised was nothing like what we received. We paid for a “family style” meal for 30 people, yet what was served was essentially snacks, and not even enough to feed the 19 people who were present when the food was brought out. Had the full group arrived on time, the food would not have come close to being sufficient. There was no abundance of food, no quality, and certainly nothing that resembled the package we paid for.
The most troubling part is the lack of honesty and preparation. If they were unable to accommodate the event, they should have simply said so. Instead, the service was clearly underprepared, despite the restaurant not being busy—even on Black Friday.
As a business owner myself, I was embarrassed to have brought my staff to a place that appeared so run-down, unappealing, and dirty, especially after seeing the polished and attractive images shared on Instagram. The difference between what they promote online and what actually exists in person is shocking. My team was disappointed not only by the condition of the venue but also by the mediocre food that left everyone hungry.
To make matters worse, this venue was more expensive than other restaurants we considered, all of which offered far better service, food, and professionalism.
Overall, this experience was misleading, poorly executed, and deeply disappointing. I will be sharing photos to show the drastic contrast between their social media portrayal and the actual condition of the establishment. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality, honesty, or a reliable dining experience.

Overpriced lackluster left overs, rude staff and dog hair from a poodle I assume was the owner's since it was there every time I would frequent. Asked for mustard for a sandwich and the waitress barked that they don’t have mustard? Odd for a restaurant! Any who, avoid at all cost. Much better options down the street.

I rated this all one star because there was no parking. I had to get out of the car and walk into the restaurant to ask about parking. I was spoken to with something of an attitude. It came from a male that was up front with a female coworker. I'm at loss for the best word to describe the attitude that I received when I asked about parking but there is no parking. Well, let me rephrase that because there are four or five parking spots right next to the building and then that's it.
So, lack of parking is a serious issue for me especially coming from Los Angeles and seeing that Miami has the same problem.

La social is the whole package. On our annual trip to Miami we spend each morning at la social for the best breakfast in MiMo but probably Miami. The food is fresh, full of flavor and looks fantastic. But there is more, the whole atmosphere is fantastic, the interior, the music its all great. But most of all the staff, Myrna is such a great host. Each year she recognizes us and that is priceless. La social feels like a small piece of home away from home.

Great food and great wonderful people. We have been coming to Miami for a few years now and La Social is by far our favorite breakfast spot.
The food is amazing, the family and people running it are kind and friendly. Really a spot to hang out, try the food and come back :)

We ordered a ham egg and cheese, sub the ham for bacon… we were then charged $4 for the bacon. when i was just SUBBING the meat, not asking for extra. $20 for a bacon egg and cheese that was extremely mid. Ordered an Açai bowl, it came in a 16 oz cup that was half filled with air bubbles, for another $20…. Paid $40 for an extremely small portion of average food at best. Don’t get scammed at this restaraunt!

I went today for brunch with my sister and my baby. Loved the ambiance and all the healthy, delicious options in the menu. I tried the cucumber and mint lemonade and it was honestly the best fresh lemonade I’ve ever had.
Eliel, our waiter, made great suggestions, walked us through the new menu and was super kind and helpful.
We had an outstanding time, we will definitely be back when it’s colder to eat a soup underneath the tree in the beautiful garden they have.
Thank you!!
