I’ve been to La Social a few times now but this time was by far the most frustrating. I’d had one initial experience that wasn’t great solely because they said they didn’t serve free tap water which was ridiculous but they seemed to have changed that. Our male server was very lackadaisical. He dropped our menus off with a mumble of I’ll be back or something and then didn’t come back for 20 minutes. He seemed very attentive and friendly to a larger table with a reservation that arrived after us, which comes off quite rude. He finally came back and we had our whole order ready and he didn’t write any of it down. My partner ordered a smoothie and the steak and eggs, and I ordered an iced matcha with the Stevens toast. I asked to simply substitute the egg whites for sunny side up eggs and he said they wouldn’t do that so I just got a side. 5 minutes later he came back to say they were out of steak. The smoothie came about 10 minutes later and then another 5 minutes later the barista came over with a mocha latte. I said it wasn’t what I ordered and he went to consult with our server. The barista I will say seemed mildly frustrated with our server as well. Two minutes later the server came back with the same drink I didn’t order and said they were out of matcha. I’m a server at my own job and I can say with absolute certainty that this is not what you do when someone orders something the restaurant is out of. He said it was just an iced latte which I would’ve ordered instead so I let him leave it. I took a sip and it was definitely a mocha which I don’t like and I told him and he tried to convince me it was a regular latte and also for whatever reason said they were out of mocha. I just had him send it back and he offered me tap water which took him 15 minutes to get. We’d gotten our food which was fine. We’d been very frustrated the entire time with our service and wanted to leave and finally got the bill. Our bill wasn’t shown to us nor was our total so we asked for a receipt only to find out 20% tip is included. I find it ridiculous that after providing shitty service you still get compensated like you provided good service. Once again, as a server if gratuity is included you HAVE to let your table know and how much because 20% included is ridiculous especially for bad service. I understand that servers get a low wage and tips are how we make our money, but I personally know that it’s only fair if people are tipping you personally that you provide them with excellent service, no matter the background. This will probably be my last time going here. The food is usually good but really the service was what ruined our breakfast.

Terrible customer service
I had a very unpleasant experience at La Social due to the poor treatment of the staff. Since I walked in, one of the employees showed a rude and unprofessional attitude.

When I asked if the juice was freshly squeezed (because it tasted like juice from a box), instead of responding politely, he violently threw it into the sink and said rudely: “What do you want now?” Also, while I was speaking with the cashier, this same employee was talking over her with a bad attitude and then told me to hang up my phone call, which I found completely unnecessary and out of line.

Treatment like this ruins any experience and makes it clear that customer service is not a priority at this place. I definitely will not return nor do I recommend it.
It's a shame because I've been before and the food is good, the person who was this rude was a middle-aged lady I think because of her Venezuelan accent.

The food at this place wasn’t bad,( that is my 1 star ) but the service was truly something else—and not in a good way. While the staff wasn’t outright rude, without going into details to keep it short, they were completely inefficient and inattentive. Service was slow and nonexistent , They seemed entirely disinterested in providing any level of customer satisfaction.

Unfortunately, that lack of care made the experience unpleasant enough that we won’t be returning. There are plenty of places with good food and excellent service that is why we wont come back to this place...:(

Terrible decision made us wait for nothing even we after agreed to be polite and kindly wait but what happened was they served other people that showed up way after we been waiting … not sure if this is a private restaurant if that’s the case they should tell people this I’m here with my family and 1 year old waiting patiently for nothing

We had a reservation for Sunday brunch here and upon arrival the waiters didn’t acknowledge the reservation then later they found it and said that the table was not ready. There were other female servers but the only male server there on that day was extremely rude! Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. I was told before that place was good to try but this was a big disappointment. I really hope he will improve otherwise I don’t think this will last with such unprofessional approach and the attitude especially when you are the one who made a mistake. Mistakes happen! Just relax and try a different approach instead of being so rude. Food was ok. They forgot about our bacon…

I had really high hopes for this restaurant. I pass it to and from work daily for months and put it on my "must try" list..
Lets get right into it.
After months of anticipating my visit I decided to check it out and order to go. I loved the vibe of the place especially the garden feel. Although the upkeep of the restaurant wasn't appealing I was eager to go inside.

I was greeted with a friendly welcome and I immediately let her know this was my first time and that the pastries looked AMAZING! She gave me a tour of the entire restaurant and I instantly said I would return and dine in but I needed to go home and grab my journal.

The cook was also friendly and exchanged some pleasant word in Spanish.
I ordered a salad, Tea and at the end a Juice..
The chicken that came with my salad was shredded and possibly from the can....

As my visit went on, the service was not great. My server was not attentive, didn't provide me with a receipt. When I ordered a juice (my second order) she sighed I asked her is she "okay".. she said "yes, I'm sorry" and moments later she came back with a smoothie.

Granted it was close to the end of the day and maybe she'd have a long day and 4 guest just walked in. I understand how challenging it is to keep a smile even though your annoyed but that's customer service and it is expected.

Finally, the reason I gave this 2 instead of 3 stars. About an hour after being home my stomach was in knots, aching and feeling like I was going to throw up. I thought it would a quick one and done in the restroom turns out I had di*rrhea. Had I known I would be detoxed I would have planned for it but I'm not sure which item caused this or maybe a combo of it all. Either way it wasn't pleasant.

I wish I had a better review but this experience was not at all what I had expected.

I had a really disappointing experience at this coffee spot. I arrived during their opening hours, only to be told by the waiter that they weren’t “really open” for another five minutes. If you claim to be fully operational at 8 am, please stick to that, especially for those of us on tight schedules.

To make matters worse, the waiter was rude and seemed genuinely annoyed at my presence, making it clear he hadn’t had a good night’s sleep. As a customer, I don’t need the attitude or the feeling that I’m imposing by just being there.

I was hoping for a welcoming environment to start my day, not the snobbish vibe I encountered. This is exactly how you lose customers—there are plenty of other places that treat their guests with respect.
