I love this place. I come here every day during lunch time. The price is great $20 for an app, entree, and drink. The rest of the full menu is also delicious. The customer service is a 10/10. The staff makes you feel like you are right at home. Mily served us today, she is amazing and very attentive.

I live in the area and invited a business contact who was visiting Miami from overseas to dine Saturday in this restaurant. We ordered three appetizers that all arrived together within minutes… and soaked in oil, very greasy. Cod croquettes really tasteless and without cod. We had a few bites and my invitee rushed to the restroom, not once, but twice. He excused himself and said he had to leave back to his hotel because the food didn’t sit well… we ordered the check and left the restaurant after 35 minutes without dining. Service too subpar, and atmosphere very boring.

We visited La Taberna de Ignacio in Pinecrest yesterday for my birthday celebration, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we walked in. We had a reservation for a party of seven, yet the host was unwelcoming, dry, and made us feel more like an inconvenience than guests. We were told to “sit down” with no warmth or hospitality whatsoever.

The ambiance was equally upsetting. For a Spanish taverna, we expected a lively, warm atmosphere—music, conversation, and a welcoming vibe. Instead, the restaurant felt dead silent, stiff, and uncomfortable. It was so quiet and stuffy that we didn’t even feel comfortable speaking with each other. We enjoy fine dining, but this was absolutely not that experience.

After receiving water, we waited—and waited—with no service and no acknowledgment from any staff member. Despite being a group of seven, no one approached our table for quite some time. Eventually, we felt so uncomfortable and ignored that we all got up and left. Even my mom, who waited to let the staff know we were leaving, had to walk away because no one bothered to come over.

This is not what anyone should expect from a local Spanish restaurant that calls itself a tavern. It lacked hospitality, warmth, and basic customer service. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a welcoming, relaxing, or enjoyable family dinner. Truly underwhelming and upsetting—especially for a birthday celebration.

My wife and I were ready for a nice place to end a long day and decided to go for Spanish food. La Taberna de Ignacio was a gem, not only the atmosphere was great, it felt like Spain but La Paella Castellana was outstanding, we also ordered garbanzos Fritos to start with. We will comeback! Definitely recommended!
