My wife, who’s French, and I have been dining here periodically for over 10 years, and it remains the real thing with delicious French food and wonderful service. The ambiance is certainly welcoming and very French.

Very authentic French place that feels like a little piece of Paris in the middle of Miami. The chicken fricasé is a dream!

This quaint little hole in the wall is easy to drive by. We didn't even see it when trying to find it the first time. Park in the Coco walk garage if you can't get on street parking.
It was our 21st anniversary and this was the perfect romantic restaurant to celebrate at.
I specifically called, made reservations and mention that it was our anniversary.
When we arrived the major D couldn't find my reservation except under my cell phone number. There was no table reserved so we were sat in the middle of the restaurant. It's really a shame because the restaurant has two super cute tables facing the street and a special one outside in the corner that would have been perfect because it's the focal point. The chef seems very personable and came out to greet several tables, but not ours.
The food was excellent. I definitely recommend the lamb. The flavors were dynamic and explosive. The tuna with portobello mushrooms with very soft and flavorful.
I really appreciate that the glass of champagne when you arrive, that was a really nice touch. Everybody gets a glass, but a first server simply said here's a glass of champagne to celebrate your anniversary we would have felt like the most important people in the restaurant!
For a $$$ restaurant the food and the atmosphere is up to par, but the service definitely could have been tighter in the communication between the major D servers and kitchen could be improved.
It's a great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and you'll definitely feel like you're in France!

Unfortunately, I found both the food and the service to be incredibly mediocre. Taking into account the steep prices, the restaurant offers poor value for money! The one saving grace is the quaint interior.
Don't get me wrong, the food was not bad - and the "free" glass of sparkling wine when you sit down is a nice touch - but none of it was memorable. Maybe my expectations, based on the rave reviews, were too high?
The escargots really should have been served in the shell. The onion soup was too cheesy and did not look appetizing. The steak tartare looked like it was cut by hand, but the seasonings/accompaniments should have been served on the side. My wife's steak was meh, but the pepper sauce was good. The fries were subpar. Service was correct but indifferent. We ended up skipping dessert.

We just had dinner here. The service was very slow. We sat down and no one came, we almost got up to leave. The fries were brown instead of golden, and the onion soup was nothing special. They forgot to bring one order, and the lamb wasn’t good. A disappointment…

How lucky can you be? 😍 Step into a quaint atmosphere of a Lyon restaurant. Raphael (GM) and, of course, Christian (Chef Owner) make the experience. Hey! November 21st is their Anniversary with several performers. 6 & 8.

We had a reference from friends visiting Le Bouchon du Grove, a French restaurant in the heart of Coconut Grove, it is small and cozy, attentive and polite people who served us, we had white wine, Chardonay and Moscatel which harmonized very well with the dishes ordered. For starters we chose tomato and pepper carpaccio which was delicious and came accompanied by a basket of warm artisanal bread, for the main course we opted for the chicken fricassee with mushroom risotto, it served two people well and was delicious. The restaurant was a great experience, we enjoyed a good meal in a very nice place. $

Our latest outings have been a mission to check out the local spots with history and long living reputation. My boyfriend took me here for our date night and i was very excited about it. Usually our choice falls on amazing spots and it is a hit from the start. Unfortunately it wasn’t the case entirely..
Well, the atmosphere is definitely very vivid french bistro. I enjoyed numerous posters and wall art and cozy furniture. They also served us complementary glasses of sparkling wine, wasn’t sure if they do it regularly but it was nice. Wine selection was great, our choice fell on Malbec and it did go so well with tartare we ordered anticipating a marvelous filet mignon as a main course. The tartare was delicious, however, maybe its my personal preference, but the pieces could’ve been chopped smaller. The french fries and salad that accompanied the tartare i assume came with no sauce, and after we asked for some ketchup it didn’t seem too important for the server to remember, so we moved on. There was also marvelous tomato carpaccio. They sure know how to pick them and the olive oil dressing was amazing. However the tuna steak that it came with was seared only on one side, maybe thats how they serve it, which is fine, but it did feel slightly fishy, so my attention turned back to tomatoes quickly. I am not huge on meats but my boyfriend is. He ordered $48 steak that came covered in sauce entirely with some more fries and salad, with no sauce, again. I thought it was strange, usually places like to display a beautiful roast/grill and they don’t dump sauce all over the main star of the dish, but it didn’t bother my boyfriend, so he dug into it. Only to find out that the stake wasn’t cooked properly to medium rare, it was basically raw meat still cold inside.
The dessert was a real nice delish! Loved the texture and vanilla of that amazing apple pie.
I respect and admire history of wonderful places, especially in current Miami dining scene that changes so fast. Le Bouchon Du Grove is definitely a place with a character's, charm and culture. But we didn’t click this first time but i am totally willing to try again. I hope this review brings some insights to them, more than criticism. Places with history should be thriving as cultural pillars✨
