Food was delicious and portions reasonable. $42 for a shawarma but makes sense if shared.

I recently visited Lira Lebanese restaurant in Wynwood, and while the experience was largely positive, there were some notable drawbacks that affected the overall dining experience.
Let’s start with the good: the seasoning and flavors were truly outstanding. The food was a beautiful representation of authentic Lebanese cuisine, with each dish bursting with rich and well-balanced flavors. It was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation of the meals. The service was also commendable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and eager to make our dining experience enjoyable.
However, there were a few issues that stood out. First, the prices were quite high, especially considering the portion sizes. The portions were notably small, which was disappointing given the cost. This was particularly problematic for the mezza dishes, as not only were the portions small, but the bowls they were served in were also quite tiny and difficult to manage. This made it hard to share or serve without spilling, which detracted from the enjoyment of the meal.
One aspect that really bothered me was the charge for water. We were asked if we wanted water and assumed it would be complimentary, as is usually the case in most restaurants. To our surprise, we were charged $8 per bottle, for what appeared to be tap water served in a regular jar. There was no indication that the water was filtered or special in any way. This felt like an unnecessary and excessive charge for something as basic as water, especially when we ended up with two jars, assuming it was part of the meal.
In summary, while the flavors and service were great, the high prices, small portions, and the unexpected water charge left a bit of a sour taste. If you’re craving authentic Lebanese food and don’t mind smaller portions, it’s worth a visit. Just be aware of the extra charges.

I went to try this restaurant after I heard good things about it. We tried almost every appetizer and one entree.
Some of them were spectacular ( muhamara, kibbeh and warak anab) some others were beyond disappointing (halloumi, rakakat and meat sambousek that litteraly looked and tasted like a 7-11 empanada). The Kefta skewer was really tasty also but comes with no side for $36. Do yourself a favor and do not order that baklava. Service was not what you expect from a place that charges this much. The atmosphere was not pleasant no music no vibe. A stained Lebanese flag is used as the kitchen door, the bar has no door and my view was a kitchen sink and couple of brooms laying against the wall. My expectations were high but Lira did not deliver.

If you like middle eastern cuisine don’t miss Lire Beirut restaurant. It’s the very very best in Miami without any doubt. The staff and service are friendly quick and top notch. The fattouch dressing is beyond good, so is absolutely everything on the menu. One you try Lire you will be a regular!!!!
