The best pastelito de guayaba in the world!

I was born and raised on Lucerne. We have tried everything in over four decades, none can come close to them!

We now live over 700 miles away and any time my mom travels north to see us she doesn’t even have to ask, the only thing I want are pastelitos from Lucerne. Years ago she brought me this very special mug from there.

Gracias Jorgito y Ricky por continuar el legado y permitir que mis hijos conocieran este pedazo de mi juventud tan especial!

To anyone in Miami-Dade who reads and thinks whether it is worth the trip, get in your car and go. Forget every other bakery and make this your number one!

I never been here before, but the service and my cafe con leche on point and the croqueta are really good , kinda in line with isla Canarias. My tostada crispy and nice and buttery. Love it because it an out of the way location kinda hidden if you don’t live in the neighborhood. The staff friendly and great service. Who ever is the owner doing an awesome job

I have been purchasing pastries here for many, many years. Having grown up getting Cuban pastries and desserts at the old Casa Prieto on Calle Ocho between 7 and 8 avenues (back in the 1970s), I was spoiled as to what an authentic Cuban bakery should be. EVERYTHING at Casa Prieto was excellent.

I have found it rare to find any other bakery in Miami which could come close to Casa Prieto. I can honestly say that La Lucerne has THE BEST pastelitos de carne in all of Miami. They are a small bakery so they have limited offerings and in recent years have been affected by the competition and selection from a Vicky’s Bakery (Cao Bakery) which opened about a block west a few years ago causing La Lucerne to have less customers and close earlier in the day. However, they still have some of the best authentic Cuban pastries around and are a must stop for me when in Miami as I moved to the Tampa Bay area in 2021. Sadly, I haven’t found any good pastelitos de carne up there either.

I would give them 5 stars overall if not for the more limited selections and shorter hours. I hope they are around for a long time.

Probably the best pastelito de carne. Been going here since I was a kid. Very hard to beat. No fancy bakery needed here, this is probably one I would stick with.

Whenever I come to pick up an order, either they haven't started making it or it takes forever.
