$8 as a Broward Folk Club member and the purchase of a meal was all it took to hear some lovely music with friends. The venue is small... reminds me of some hangouts in Nyack, NY I'd frequent back in the day... sweet and intimate...

Take me back in time, where things were simple, honest, & beautiful! Luna Star Café is a ticket to all that's pure & delicious, & the MUSIC IS TOP NOTCH! We are from Louisiana, & this Artsy COOL Café felt like New Orlean's finest! Decorated with delightful Art from top to bottom, with a cozy, inviting vibe perfect for listening to poetic musicians...original music lives here! I loved every bite of my Greek plate, & the Angel Hair Pasta Bologna looked so tempting! They serve Leffe Beer! I visited the Brewery in Dinant, Belgium years ago!Go in & go back in time to when things were real & totally enjoyable! Cash only...so stop by the atm down the street at El Presidente grocery.

One of the last venues where you can hear original music. Support local musicians. Wonderful atmosphere and staff. Cheers!????

Wonderful people. You can tell only the retired community hangs in there but the pizza wasn’t worse than 6/10 but yeah not a vibe overall

The owner is straight up awesome and friendly. Everyone I know loves this place for the music vibe and the great beer and wine selection. The food is really good also. It's a small place so get there before 8pm when the music typically starts. The artwork on the walls and restroom is very interesting. They only take cash, no cards.

Amazing performances by friendly people in a very laid back atmosphere. Just remember to bring cash.

Went here with a friend and his family, a mixed couple. Waited forever to get someone to come attend to us who never came, and in that 15 minutes saw an African-American family walk out in frustration. So we did the same. Enough was enough.Worse, we learned afterwards that a light Latino friend spoke with the owner once, who said straight to him that “we need more wh!te people here”… You figure out the rest.Welcome to Florida circa 1960. Book banning is alive and entrances for different skin tones will soon come into effect.

This place left a bitter taste in my mouth, when they invited me to come to the open mic, not informing me that it's a "pay to play" venue. Upon showing up, they asked for an $18 minimum purchase just to perform at the venue, because it's apparently the artist's responsibility to support their venue. They must not understand that many artists are paid professionals and it's actually a generous thing to perform free and entertain their clients. There's no reason to spend money at the venue, when there's plenty of free open mics around.

This may very well be the coolest place ever! Every time I come to Paradis it just gets better and better. Everything on the menu is incredible, the books are amazing, the people are all beautiful and kind, I could go on and on this place deserves all the hype in the world!
