My family and I have come here several times because the food is great and we’ve always looked forward to visiting. Unfortunately, this is now the third time we’ve come as a group of 11 to celebrate a birthday and were not able to be seated.

Each time, we were either turned away or told the wait would be 2–3 hours, even though there were multiple large tables available. On one visit, we even saw a table reserved for a party of 22, despite being told reservations aren’t accepted.

We have not been treated kindly during these visits—the staff have been rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, which made the experience even worse.

After three failed attempts to celebrate special occasions here, we will not be coming back. It’s disappointing because the food is good, but the service has made it not worth it.

OMG this place is amazing. The food its delicious. You can enjoy every bite of your food. Today we had ceviche which was really refreshing and surprising good. And of course carne asada with sweeet plantains and gallo pinto. And bistec empanizado(breaded steak) delicious. This option are my favorite on the menu.

We visit Madroño frequently both in person and take out. The quality is always the same and to go orders are packed with extra attention to detail. Great food and excellent service. If you want good Nicaraguan food this is the place to go.

We had never tried Nicaraguan food before, and it was absolutely delicious! Judging by the incredible taste, it felt truly authentic and exceeded our expectations. Despite a 25-minute wait to be seated, the service inside was lightning-fast; we received our drinks in under five minutes, and everything else arrived promptly after we ordered. The staff was fantastic, regularly clearing dishes between appetizers and mains. We were eager to try La Bandeja de Antojitos, but it was enormous—perfect for 3-4 people and packed with a blend of Nicaraguan traditions. It spins on a lazy Susan, making it fun for the whole table. We noticed several groups around us enjoying it too, usually with four or more people. We chose the Camarones Empanizado (breaded shrimp with tartar sauce) and Churrasco Nicaragüense, both served with three generous sides. The portions were so hearty we had to take a stroll around the strip mall afterward. Highly recommend this culinary adventure!

had a great experience at Madrano Restaurant. I only speak English, but my fiancé speaks Spanish, and the staff made us both feel very comfortable and welcome from the moment we arrived. The service was excellent—everyone was attentive, friendly, and patient.

The food was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentic. You can really tell they put care into their cooking. This was a wonderful introduction to Nicaraguan cuisine for me, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

From Beginning to the end it was a great lunch experience. Short wait time, was told 20mins ended up being about 13mins. When we got to the table the water was served, bread was there and table ready. Waiters where very nice an courteous. The food was excellent and the only better place I can compare to is Caña Brava. The atmosphere was very energetic and everyone working looked happy to be there which is a nice change of pace. All in all it was a great first experience. Will definitely be back with the family.

Absolutely amazing experience and encourage anyone and everyone to try this restaurant! Service is out of this world and the food will leave you in a state of shock and awe. The sampler is amazing and highly recommended. You get to experience all the Cuban/Nicaraguan cuisine at very good prices. The drinks are also extremely good and everything is fresh, flavorful and just delicious.

The restaurant itself is very clean, bright and tastefully decorated. We were impressed at the quality and cleanliness.

They also have the most adorable birthday celebration for their patrons that left us feeling all those warm and fuzzies. What a great place to take the family!

I’ve been coming here for years, and the food has always been amazing and the staff even more so. Birthdays have always been special for my family because they do the cute thing with the streamers, but today I noticed they started charging 17 dollars and some cents for the tres leches calling it “celebratory dessert.” So they charge you more for putting on las mañanitas and throwing the streamers at you. Is it cute? Yes. Is it worth almost 18 dollars (almost as much as baby churrasco)? No. And honestly, they should’ve told us that they charge more for that. I, personally, think it’s a really greedy practice to put a price tag on an event that they made that was special. It’s one thing to tack on a mandatory 20% service charge, which they also did, and another to not tell people that something that was once complimentary (the streamers, not the dessert) now has a price. The food and service is good, but the birthday experience is now disappointing.

A few days ago, my Nicaraguan friends and I went to this restaurant for lunch. I was looking forward to visit Madroño again after a few years. The food was good and the service impeccable. Then we got the bill... full of extra (illegal) charges. What a shame.
