MAINLY A POOL TABLE REVIEW:
$1.50/game. Table is in good shape but the room is slightly too small which is part of why this gets 4 stars. The space between the table and window is not enough to shoot near the rail and you’ll catch the wall in the corner too. They do have a short stick for those shots though which is nice. (Somebody probably knocked a window out before they got that)
Anyway it’s one of the few places around, with a table, that I found that stays open until 5 so that is extra points for them.
FOR THE STAFF: free pool on Monday night is sweet but you need a chalk board or something because it was getting hectic keeping up with the order and it got hectic.
Didn’t eat but drinks are normal price for Miami. Which is too much.

Mama tried is one of the staples in downtown Miami. With their themed nights and their great selection of cocktails, this is somewhere you wanna go after long day of work before heading home. They also have a pool table for those who are looking to have a little match with locals. Highly recommend checking out.

Oldschool dive bar with professional staff, talkative when not busy, and all sorts of strange customers (myself included) who are fun to talk to and to look at. Stay away on weekends though, it's full of college kids then.

A lot of phones go missing here. Also, a security pushed me off the pool table because he said I don’t listen and had asked me to get off already that I couldn’t sit there. A full grown male pushing a woman. If you don’t want to deal with drunk people and having to repeat yourself don’t work at a club!!!
not a gay bar

This place was super chill. All the bartenders were friendly and had actual conversations with you when they could, not just weird small talk, I really appreciate that traveling alone. Dark and cozy, friendly place. Drinks are fairly priced and the happy hour deals are super cheap for miami. Even the security guards here were nice, and chill. Favorite stop in town
