Amazing lunch!!! Came twice during a family trip (a group of 6 people) and the experience as always was impeccable. Highly recommend the Greek platter, lamb chops, sea bass and fried zucchini. Will be returning 100%!!! the service was also a highlight, everyone very nice and polite, and left the place knowing how much they value each and every customer.

I hate to leave a bad review, but considering my family got food poisoning from here I thought I’d bring it to people’s attention. I’ve been here twice, the atmosphere is really cute and the service is wonderful, we got seated within 5 minutes despite no reservation. My parents are both gluten intolerant and our server was very well versed in the menu and clear on what they couldn’t eat, because of how a dish was cooked, ect. The food is decent but very underwhelming for the price and the hype around “how great this place is”. I unfortunately don’t see myself returning here. A side note-
I did get towed while we were there (rookie mistake, considering I’m a resident and should know better) so don’t be delusional by parking in the neighborhood residential area. If you do get towed it’s most likely Roadway towing, about a 10 minute drive away.

Food and service is excellent. I had the whole fish $65 , pricey but well worth it. Lemon potatoes would have been better if they had more lemon and less herbs. All I could taste were harsh herbs. The chairs are pretty but uncomfortable straw seats that you sink into and are uneven. Tables need more lighting. Our table was practically pitch black, and I couldn't see my food.More importantly, bones, which may have been in my fish. There's only one gas lantern on each table, which is not enough light. And also, if you touch the lantern wrong, you'll burn yourself. Mandolin is still one of my favorite restaurants in Miami.

My birthday celebrating wife and I shared 4 waiter recommended plates. All 4 were underwhelming with excessively high price points. $200 for average food; we won’t be back.

Mandolin Aegean Bistro is one of those places where expectations are set high — and unfortunately, not met.

On paper, everything looks right: the concept, the Mediterranean promise, the relaxed yet refined positioning. In reality, the experience feels oddly flat. The atmosphere is pleasant enough, but it leans heavily on style rather than substance, creating a sense that the restaurant is trading more on reputation than on what actually arrives at the table.

The food itself is, at best, mediocre. Dishes are competently prepared, but lack depth, balance, or any real sense of character. Flavours feel muted and predictable, as if designed to offend no one rather than to impress or inspire. Nothing is outright bad — which almost makes it more disappointing — but nothing stands out, lingers, or justifies a return visit.

The pricing, however, suggests something far more ambitious. At this level, one expects either exceptional ingredients, memorable execution, or at least a clear culinary point of view. Instead, the value proposition simply does not add up. You leave feeling that you’ve paid for the idea of a great meal, rather than the meal itself.

Service is polite but somewhat detached, reinforcing the overall impression of a place running on autopilot. There is little warmth, little engagement, and little sense that anyone is truly invested in your experience.

What frustrates most is the potential. Mandolin Aegean Bistro could be much more than it is. But as it stands, it feels like a restaurant that relies on branding and ambiance to carry what should be its core strength — the food.

In a city overflowing with genuinely excellent dining options, Mandolin simply doesn’t earn its price tag. It’s not a disaster — just a reminder that good marketing is no substitute for truly good cooking.

Lovely place with a garden-style setting that feels relaxed and charming. Even though it was busy, it never felt too loud or chaotic. Service was excellent. Everything ran like a well-oiled machine.

The food was outstanding. Easily the best Greek food I’ve had in Miami. We started with the calamari and the mussels. The mussels were so good that we asked for extra bread to soak up the sauce, which they happily provided.

Combined with their fresh bread, it was perfect.
For mains we had the sea bass and the meat kebabs. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and simply superb. Unfortunately we skipped dessert because we were already very full.

A small but important detail I appreciated: tips are handled separately and not automatically added to the bill, and the bill itself is very clear and transparent. More restaurants should do it this way.

Go ahead and do it - book the reso for this restaurant. The food is fresh & delicious. Upon entering you feel like you’re transported to from Miami to Greece. The only negative comment i have is that service is extremely slow. Our server was kind, but had zero table presence. We were weren’t the only ones who felt this way. Other diners were waving this server down for attention as well. Despite that, i would absolutely come back to dine at this amazing restaurant.

Mandolin was one of my favorite Restaurants in Miami, but I was shocked to see how their prices have doubled! The atmosphere is always pleasant but a lunch for two people at $160 (with tip) and no alcohol is absurd.

Always a must-stop when in Miami! Fantastic food and outstanding service every time. On our last visit, our server Heidi was amazing—she guided us through the specials and made excellent recommendations.

Thank you, Heidi, you were fantastic! We’ll definitely be back.

Lucas was our server, and as someone with an allergy, he took amazing care of me and my family while we were dining here. The food was delicious, but his impeccable service is the reason I wanted to leave this review. Thank you for making our beautiful time even better!

Compared to other purveyors of Mediterranean fare this restaurant left me underwhelmed food wise. That said, the service was good and the ambience was very good. We sat outside, which was nice in Miami for this time of year.
