What can I say? It's a Miami staple. Open 24 hours, late night, it hits the spot after a couple of drinks, I hear. Anyway, I enjoy this place mainly for the vibes. It feels like Miami, like I'm home. It's not a Michelin-starred place, but the food is decent, and it's a good experience.

Went there because the NEW TIMES wrote a great article about them. It's a window Cafe and not so clean. Ordered a tamal and the girl looked at me funny. Guess they do not sell alot. Saw it was a frozen tamal in a package they opened with a scissors. Defrosted in a microwave so quality not great. Sandwiches are on huge thick bread rolls with very little inside for the price. Not impressed and won't be back. Cuban worst I have ever had, not pressed with toaster.

Disappointed with the steak sandwich and service.
I ordered a steak sandwich that turned out to be hard, stale, and just not tasty at all. I specifically asked for the bread to be toasted, and it wasn’t done. On top of that, when I called to place my order, the woman who answered told me she wasn’t supposed to pick up the phone because she was finishing her shift — and that I was “lucky” she answered. That gave me the wrong vibe from the start.

I still went to pick up my food, hoping for the best, and honestly, it was a letdown. At $10 per sandwich, it’s overpriced for what you get. You’re better off going to La Esquina del Pan con Bistec on 12th Ave & Flagler — they do it way better, with better flavor and customer service. The staff at this place need serious improvement in both attitude and food quality. Sandwiches should be made with care — not rushed and dry.

A staple on 27th Avenue. Very good pan con bistec, window service is always friendly. Any of the sandwiches will be good: Cuban sandwich, media noches.
