She’s an absolute sweetheart and very professional! Plus, she always remembers our names and favorite order. I honestly don’t have one bad thing to say.Btw, I’ve never seen this place in bad shape or dirty…Mekong is great, I recommend 1000%.
Ordered on door dashwe got kung po chicken and it tasted like nothingthe general tso chicken was the wrong texture and the flavor was lackingthe white rice isn’t the right kind of rice for chinese foodand the spring rolls are soggy and flavorlessthe best part of the meal was the canned coke

They don’t have the hot and sour soup on lunch special, just the egg soup and wonton soup, so i paid extra to have hot and sour but is not sour at all. Ate many times this kind of soup and is always hot and sour. Not here, i ate mostly at japanese restaurants , maybe the Chinese don’t make it sour ?

Of all the Chinese take restaurants in or near Cutler Bay, this one is the best. The food was prepared fast, packaged with care, and delicious. The honey chicken was crispy, and the sauce was made with real honey and fresh garlic. The boneless ribs weren't just small strips like most places. It appeared to have been cut off of the bones. The wonton soup was dark (unlike most other restaurants that have light/translucent soup) and flavorful. I wish I had taken pictures of the dishes, but my family and I ate them right away because it all smelled so good. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Rosie (the manager) is very pleasant and polite. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good Chinese takeout.

I went on Dec 3 to Mekong Chinese Restaurant, made the order by the phone and went to pick up the Food. I was hoping that the food was going to be as Mekong 2 but it was not. I purchase a fried rice that was extremely overcook and chopped/shredded. The lo main was extremely salty but it was only noodles, shrimp and 5 slices of carrot/onion, that was it, no other vegetables. The ribs were old. The only thing that was decent was the sweet chicken. Because the other food appear that was old. This was the first and the last time. I will keep myself with Mekong 2 even is a little far. That was my experience.

Went recently because my mother used to love it years back so it was going to be a bit of nostalgia… I’m giving a 4/5 on service because they were up to par in that regard. Upon entering the restaurant for pick up we were waiting for our food(not for long to their credit) but saw the lady look down at something/someone behind the counter and say “sit, sit, sit.” Honestly I still need context and I’m just praying it was just a child back there and not what most reasonable minds would assume?? ,not To make mention the smell of the ambiance and the dirty unoccupied shoes back there as well. The food also wasn’t packaged properly to common standard. Subsequently & respectfully We didn’t accept the food and went elsewhere thus for I cannot comment on the quality or taste of it. honestly I cannot and will not recommend eating here and I hope they get slight details together. This just honestly seems to be a case of complacency, negligence & a lack of respect. These issues are small and easily fixable but judging on the presentation of the front of house, it wouldn’t be an unfair assumption to believe that the back of house is in any better condition. Nonetheless, this is just speculation as far a recommendation. Based on the other reviews though, they seem to be positive in regards to the food… in my opinion the food did not look too bad. Good luck!
