Since last time I was there it has changed ownership twice. Not the same it used to be.

Stopped here for lunch because it said Spanish tavern on the sign, other than the flag in the inside not much of a Spanish feel to it, no written menus, they have to tell you the menu and wasn't much of a menu. the menu is Cuban food not Spanish. No Spanish beer, no tapas, so just had a bud light and left.

I was in the mood for seafood for lunch today and a friend mentioned “Makoncha” restaurant to me. I decided to visit the place and order to go. I decided to surprise my mother with something special and ordered the “Camarones al Limón “. For me I decided on the “Cazuelita Gallega”. When I brought the food to my mom’s and we started eating, we looked at each other in total surprise. The food was really delicious. She truly enjoyed it.. In my case, I must confess that this was the most delicious rice and seafood dish I have enjoyed in a very long time. I can’t wait to go back to “Makoncha” real soon. The owner of the restaurant was charming and welcoming. She gave me information about the live music and flamenco presentations they offer. I love discovering new places. Congratulations for running a great business.
