Great First Night, but Management Was Unhelpful During a Family Emergency
We stayed at Miccosukee Casino & Resort on Saturday, June 29, and had such a great experience that I booked an additional night around 3 or 4 a.m. through Expedia—we genuinely wanted to stay and enjoy the resort a bit longer.
Unfortunately, a few hours later, due to a family emergency and our daughter falling ill, we realized we wouldn’t be able to stay the extra night. When I spoke with the manager, Manuel, he told me he couldn’t help me cancel the reservation—even though it had just been made hours earlier. There was no empathy, no understanding, and no effort to assist us during a stressful time.
He stated that the only way he could have helped was if I had booked directly with the hotel, but I’ve used third-party platforms like Expedia in the past and never had that used as a reason to deny basic support. It felt like a lack of honesty and accountability.
While our first night on June 29 was truly enjoyable, the cold and rigid treatment we received afterward, especially during a family emergency, was disappointing. Hospitality should include compassion—unfortunately, that was missing here.

For the most part, this day was okay. However, I was so disappointed with the pillows in our room and how terrible they were. I woke up the next day with a completely stiff neck.That has taken days to recover.

Stayed 3 nights. Deluxe king room was small with no small fridge. I called and they brought one to the room right away. Bed was very hard and the sheets were not soft. For the money I spent I expected these things . Also, if you speak Spanish, which I only know a few words, it would be very helpful.

Dinner was Rice with boiled chicken which they called fried chicken.
Food atmosphere and price were great!
10 to 15 minutes away from Miami Airport. Cozy place.
