Food is ok, but it’s in a strip mall, and the hostess is not very professional. Not a classy spot.

If you like to overpay for a little bit of a good food Michaels’s genuinely expensive restaurant is for you. We were 4 people, celebrating mom’s birthday, had 3 cocktails in total, 3 appetizers and 4 entrees and we paid about $400. Everything including the entrees are very small portions and unsatisfying if you’re coming very hungry.Ambiance was nice, street cafe vibes, causal but with fine dining prices. It didn’t make sense to us. They opened up the glass enclosures so although we were dining inside we had a lot of flies accompanying our food.Chicken liver appetizer was good, it could use a little more generous chicken liver on the bread and it’s only 3 slices.Crispy pork belly appetizer was ok, little heavy and on the sweeter side. $24Leeks carbonara appetizer was good, we asked for some bread and dipped in it. again very small portion that kinda shocked us $212 people ordered 1/2 chicken was also really small plate with no sides. $39 chicken was perfectly cooked. Most expensive of a chicken we’ve ever had.Grouper with turmeric-coconut broth sounded iffy and artsy fartsy but it tasted good, we actually dipped some bread in its sauce. $42You need to ask for bread because they don’t bring anything without asking. It was sourdough and it was good.Giant prawns were the biggest disappointment for $58. There was nothing giant about it except the inedible head. The reduction sauce was ok, a little on the heavy side. The heads lost its fat because they dissolved into the sauce :( also they should put at least two more prawns here, nobody will be filled with 3 shrimps. It comes with a little unseasoned arugula. Funny for an entree.Side dish potatoes sucked, no flavor, we put lots of salt on it and everyone was still hungry after this dinner.Although we liked the taste of some of the food, it’s way too expensive for what it is and the portions are way too small even with that astronomical price. Yet it’s a basic cafe/bistro.They also never acknowledged mom’s birthday. We were so dissapointed and went to another place for dessert.

Located in the Miami design district, this restaurant had a nice outdoor seating area but inside was cozier, more romantic, and gorgeous decor. The vibe was enjoyable, not too loud, good music. Overall a great setting for date night or casual dinner with friends. Our server Sarah provided an excellent service experience. For drinks we each tried a different spritz, very refreshing. Our food was hamachi crudo, grilled octopus, roasted eggplant with lamb and pita (which we ordered TWICE!), and crispy skinned duck confit. Every plate was seasoned perfectly, cooked perfectly, overall executed perfectly. This is a strong recommend! We will be back.

I had high hopes for this spot given its great reviews on open table. Ordered a duck confit ($32) and a glass of Gewürztraminer ($17). The food and wine tasted good but for the price and the hype - it did not wow. The duck came w some lentils, kumquat and frisée which was tasty but very sparse. There were no other sides leaving the plating looking a bit awkward. The service was fine but not particularly warm. The hostess was a bit standoffish and presumptuous. Definitely more of a sceney vibe and seems it is more suited to fun drinks and hangouts w friends.

I’ve been to MG’s many times. The food is always fantastic. Atmosphere/ambiance always great…The hostess and management staff is very rude and stuck up. Prepare for the hostess to give you attitude for any request (a simple “I apologize but we cannot accommodate your request) would be great, but instead it’s a very condescending answer while smirking at you. The gentleman, who was the manager was rude as well. Truly it was mind blowing. I’d recommend their staff take a training seminar how to be kind and considerate. I don’t normally leave reviews but I was so baffled at their impoliteness, I had to write something. I’ve never had a restaurant make myself or my family feel that way. Will never be back.

I ordered a salad. The salt level was overpowering, they made another salad, still awful. I ordered falafel, burned amd oversalted, very disappointed in the food. The atmosphere was delightful, the staff was patient amd kind, loved the wait and the front desk staff. Food could be most definity better. I got a stomach ache from all that.

Where is Michael? Can I speak with Michael? I wanna tell him how amazing this place is. The potato's are so creamy. The straghettela or however you spell that dish is amazing. Everything we've had is just so perfectly made and special. The flavors are great. Seriously I wanna talk to Michael

Food was inconsistent. Crispy pig ears were burnt to a level of stale crispness thar bordered on inedible. Same exact thing w the hominy. Burnt to sadistic levels of ' crispiness'. Sadly these are usually my two favorite small snacks. The service was really good and the drinks were also very good. The pizza was so so ( pizzas here, especially the toppings are inconsistent bite to bite/slice to slice. One slice may have all the toppings, and the next will have no toppings). The sandwhich was yummy. The ambience is great although the open area gets a little too warm as it gets busy. I have been coming here for 15 years(?) But today's meals really illustrates the need for consistency w the dishes.

Very disappointing experience this time compared with previous visits many years ago. Food did not taste freshly prepared, crostini was serverd on a 2 inch slab of bread that was difficult to bite and the liver itself was more like a chicken pate, octopus was dry and oversalted, same for duck confit. Tortellini were tough and the filling was like playdough and oversalted. The only bright spot was a friendly and knowledgeable waitress. Not coming back and not recommending, sorry.

First went to Michael's many years ago. The mark of a good restaurant is that when you go back after so many years the experience is still great! Sat at the bar & Jake the bartender was great — very attentive, friendly, passionate about the food & excellent recommendations for wine. All staff were friendly and professional. Great ambiance with some terrific live jazz. Now on to the food. Delicious! From the warm bread with terrific butter topped with Black Sea salt to the wood roasted asparagus & octopus....best treatment of octopus I've ever had. Their take on a caprese salad was very good helped by the great tomatoes. The pork belly was yummy....only miss ( for us) was pairing pork belly with kimchi. This restaurant is a “keeper” for sure....will most certainly return & highly recommend.

We went for dinner and had a wonderful time. The ambiance is very high energy and nice. We ordered the chips with onion dip and the shrimp toast- both were tasty. For my my entree, I had the short ribs with a side salad and butternut squash. It was delicious. The rest of the entrees looked really good. For dessert, we shared the citrus tartelette. It was really good. Even though it was very busy, our server was very friendly and attentive.

It took about 15 minutes for someone to even approach our table and ask if we wanted water. We received our appetizers and 20 minutes later received our drinks. The service was terrible, the food was cold. It was terrible service. We have been there several times last night was the last time.
