Nice little place that’s tucked away. Had my family there, me my wife and the kids along with my mom, brother and uncle. Kids enjoyed the kids area and of course the snacks. As always it’s nice to have a place to just relax away from the terminals while waiting for our flight.

Good spot to rest, strict on the rules but they are there for a reason. Did have to put bags to the side but they were under constant supervision. Very tucked away so it's a bit hard to find.

The actual place isn't bad at all. Nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the Airport. However on December 1st 2024 when we visited the Host guy that worked there had an attitude that he owned the place totally rude. From the time we checked in until we left it seemed he was looking for a confrontation. Totally unacceptable I understand that he is probably volunteering his time but he needs to go home and retire again with that piss poor attitude towards Servicemen and there families. Kindness is free!!!!

Of all the USOs and military lounges I have been in over my career and retired. This is the absolutely worst. Having a disgruntled person treating active and retired service personnel that are weary from traveling, in such is a bad idea. Sets a tone and environment that is not conducive to a relaxing safe environment. I understand volunteers are hard to come by, the board should try harder. This gentleman that everyone mentions in the comments makes me think he has not served or a family member of someone who served and is just down right disrespectful. And really you want to insist that my wife to leave her purse in a cubby that we cannot see and your not at the desk keeping an eye on the luggage and purses. You need to think man. No snacks available at all. This military lounge does not keep with the standards of any military core values. Fire the volunteer white haired gentleman that has a bad attitude and get some one in there that actually cares about our active and retired folks and their families. Retired HMC.

As soon as I walked in the man at the desk says, “Did you read the sign?” In a rude voice. He was trying to indicate that I needed to wait for him to approaching the desk. This was the most unwelcoming and oddly controlled experience I have had with military hospitality service. I pray someone having a hard day does not have to experience this man.

MIA NEEDS A USO!!!!

The “Military Hospitality Lounge” is anything but hospitable. The location is a bit dark and tucked away, similar to a loading dock or storage area. As this was my first time in this lounge I spoke to the older Caucasian male at the desk and asked “how are you”. To which he rudely replied “do you have an ID and boarding pass”. I said “I do” and handed him same. Then, he replied “you can sign in if you want”. After signing in, he asked me to place my bag and purse on the luggage rack by the door. I placed my shopping bag in the rack but advised I wished to keep my purse, to which he told me my purse could not go in the back with me. I kindly left the lounge with my belongings. I am used to a more welcoming airport lounge and from reading other reviews, this WAS NOT just a bad day.

Not an USO by any standard but nice that there is an option for military to lounge. The airport should definitely provide a space that is not in the back/warhouse area of the airport.

We are 20+ years Navy veterans. I have NEVER been treated so poorly at a military lounge. Before I even checked in, the older, white-haired man was very rude and unfriendly. I asked if there was a USO (only because it’s all I’ve known at airports). He asked “WHY are you asking about the USO?” Um…because I want to know.

Then, we were seated in the back room, which was great because it was roomier and there were no people. After we got settled, we went to the main room to look in the fridge for a drink. He said to us “there aren’t any drinks in that room?” And THEN came back to the room to check! Does it matter?!

Then, I went back to the room to get my wife a bagel and he said “those are for tomorrow morning!” SERIOUSLY?!?! The snacks are there for us military. Period.

I am so taken aback by his treatment towards us. He should not be in that position. Period.

Wish they stayed open as long as the airport and maybe tried to clean up and sanitize a little bit

My family and I are finishing up our vacation and arrived at the airport. Myself being active duty navy, went to the USO, however MIA international doesn’t have a USO because they have a “Military Hospitality Lounge”. My problem lies with the fact that active duty members aren’t allowed to leave their bags at the lounge and go eat like you can at a USO. All my family and I wanted to do was drop our bags off for maybe a max of an hour and go maybe 100 yards down the way in the airport, eat at chili’s and then come back. Then pick our bags up so part of our family could get in line for Security. I understand that rules are rules. I get it but the lady that checked us in to the lounge only said that someone had to stay at the lounge and watch our bags after most of us had already started to walk out and two of us had already donated to the lounge. She led us to believe everything was all fine and dandy until we donated and then decided to drop the ball on us and give us attitude. If you're going to lie to a military member and lead them believe one thing until they donate out of kindness and then tell them no to what you originally said yes to, you are scum. Bottom feeding scum and I don't have any respect for you. Bring the USO back. Everyone will be happier.
