Motek in Coral Gables is a very good dining option in the area. The service is excellent - very attentive staff. The food is fresh and very well prepared. There are many options for all tastes - vegan to carnivore.

Absolutely best food in town. go with friends and order a few things from the menu to share so you can taste the explosion of flavors

This was my 2nd try.. I went the 1st time for a company dinner and I needed to try it again .. it was amazing.. the ambience.. the service and the flavors are out.. definitely, a place to go !!

We had a great time at Motek, however, I do feel that the food was a bit overpriced for what it was. We paid $74 per person, we were 3 people, for 2 appetizers & 1 main course, which didn't have any sides (literally it was a grilled branzino), 2 diet cokes & a bottle of wine. Surprisingly, this restaurant does not have free fountain drink refills and I paid $12 for 2 diet cokes - my mistake for assuming they had free refills since the sodas were not canned nor bottle. Would I come back? No. There are better Mediterranean places, with great food and service at a much better price point.

FANTASTIC! We love this restaurant. Ingredients are fresh & food is flavorful. We've been twice and will definitely be going back. We've had the Moroccan cigars, watermelon salad, mushroom hummus, Tel Aviv Tartar (was out of this world good), and the pistachio cheese cake (rich, creamy, and not too sweet fabulousness! A MUST have!) Not only is the food fabulous, the service was just as good! We will continue to go here!

I recently visited Motek in Coral Gables and was extremely disappointed with the service and overall dining experience. After being seated, my family and I were completely ignored by the staff for over 30 minutes. It felt like we were invisible, and when we tried to get their attention, we were still left waiting. The lack of attentiveness and professionalism was astounding for a place that markets itself as a quality establishment.

Additionally, the music was unbearably loud, making it difficult to have a conversation or enjoy our meal. It felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant. Dining out should be a pleasant, relaxing experience, but Motek has completely lost touch with what makes customers want to return. I used to enjoy coming here, but after this experience, I doubt I'll be back.

DOWNHILL FOR MOTEK :(

We've been loyal patrons of Motek in Coral Gables since it opened, but sadly, this was our third—and final—attempt to give it another chance. Today’s experience was a major disappointment.

From the start, the manager was rude and dismissive (lunch hour Nov 11th). Despite waiting patiently, no one brought us menus, and when we finally managed to get them ourselves, it took forever for anyone to come take our order. When we politely voiced our concerns, we were met with nothing but "attitude".

The food, which was once a highlight, has taken a steep decline in quality. Our last visit, the falafel was disappointingly dry, and the meat was undercooked and unappetizing.

Lastly, the atmosphere has become unbearable. The music was so loud it felt more like a nightclub than a lunch spot, making it impossible to have a conversation. The volume seems to get louder each time we go, to the point where it’s uncomfortable.

Thankfully, Coral Gables has plenty of other fantastic dining options because, sadly, we WILL NOT be returning to Motek.

Enjoy Life

From my last visit the dishes are much smaller but pricing didn’t decrease. Service was very slow. Waited a long time to be served. Better service at many places in coral gables.

Poor and slow service, food was okay but very over priced. Not “just a miami/gables thing” in terms of price for quality - plenty of other better options.

We were completely ignored despite asking for water twice. Servers stared at us and didn’t approach. After waiting for 15 minutes, we took our business elsewhere.

I went here this weekend with the family and there were some positives including the service and vibe. But for me the main thing is the food. The food was not all the hype. There are def better Mediterranean places in Miami if you are looking for good food. Some dishes were really flavorful but there were just as many that did not. The Moroccan cigars were my favorite. The Babaganoush was also good. The Za'tar Greek salad, hangar steak, and the flat pita were ok. Our server was amazing. My only critique on service is the way the dishes come out. They brought all the cold and hot mezzo at the same time so by the time I sampled the hot mezzo they were cold. The one dish I do not recommend at all is the dessert . The Baklava is very one dimensional just a lot of sugar and that's it. The nut mixture is very underwhelming and you don't even know it's there. Maybe try one of the other ones they might be better.
