Service was good .The atmosphere was cool and inviting. Also food was good but the yams was kinda sweet I like the flavors very well put together. But way to sweet. Also the baked chicken leg and thigh was kinda small for $14.00 dollars.

This take-out restaurant is located in Richmond Heights. It was refreshing to enter and get welcomed, and made to feel like you were a guest at someone's home rather than a restaurant. The atmosphere was just as welcoming, with a huge welcome sign on the front if the counter. The aroma of good southern cooked food wafted in the air. When asked about the menu, the cashier who happened to be Apostle Carl Malone, the owner, patiently informed us of every item sold, those already visible on the line, and the fried foods that would be cooked to order, fried chicken, fish, and porkchops. The corn was made by shaving it from the Cob, and the desserts were all homemade. Às our order was being prepared, Apostle Malone answered any questions we had, and along with providing us a free item of his choice, since we were first timers, when we asked about a nearby park to go sit and eat at, he offered some space across from his nearby church. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful gesture that really touched us. We went there and ate, and as we finished eating some of our delicious food, I tasted the Sweet Potato Pie. It was exactly the flavor I had been searching for. I knew my daughter's neighbor had been looking for that taste so we went back to thank Apostle Malone, and to buy her two slices. She was not at home but called us later to say that it was exactly what she had been searching for. I definitely will be making another "trip," as we who live up in the northern end of the county call it when we travel, "down south." Great hospitality, and great food, will always keep me coming back. It was so worth it.

The best Soul Food I have ever had!!! The baked chicken just fell off the bone, Collard greens and greens were off the hook!!! The yellow rice had a special spice that's incredible!!! Of course the corn bread was to die for!!!! When in Richmond Heights you must eat here!!! You'll be glad you did!! And the owners couldn't have been nicer and friendlier!!! Love Mr. Jack's Soul Food on the Go!!!

Visit this restaurant today. Basically I was before and only purchased the steam cabbage it was great then. However, today's a different story. I brought the smothered turkey wing, yellow rice Collard greens, banana pudding green beans. First of all turkey is tuff and horrible. The collard greens has no taste. The greens would have been on point. The food case had flies in it. So you the food went in the garbage. ?

I visited the restaurant today for the first time. The customer service is amazing. However the food didn’t meet my expectations. I ordered Catfish, cabbage, yellowrice, cornbread and macaroni. The food looked delicious, however I was disappointed with the taste. The Catfish had no seasonings, and was undercooked in my opinion. It didn't taste authentic in my opinion, the meat had a weird texture. The Mac and cheese was ok. The rice, nothing special. Cornbread is was good. Cabbage was nothing special, just ok. I paid $41.00 for two dinners. I expected way better tasting food for the price I paid. I didn’t finish it all and threw majority of it away.
