He curated our entire meal, bringing out a series of spectacular dishes that perfectly complemented one another. He was funny, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, explaining each dish with passion and detail. Very nice place with good drinks and food. The cocktails we had were unique and enjoyable. The wasabi martini (I believe that's what it was called) was an oddball choice but we're so glad we chose it.
We split the peking duck with foie gras and caviar. It was outstanding. The crispy duck skin was cut and cooked to perfection. The housin sauce they brought was delectable and the pancakes were fresh as well as the cucumber and celery to make the wraps with. We both went home with very happy bellies.

We came with a family to Novikov for my boyfriendâs birthday - we love this place and visit often. Unfortunately, our server, Alain, gave us a very cold and unfriendly experience. He barely spoke to us, avoided eye contact, and didnât seem interested in helping, even when we asked politely.
I understand he could have a tough day but why do we have to feel guilty for asking of another glass of prosecco to celebrate the birthday.
We requested a dessert with a candle, which he kindly brought but with no smile or words - just placed it down and walked away. While he removed the dessert from the bill, a 20% tip was still automatically added, which felt unfair given the poor service. It really took away from what shouldâve been a special evening. Our server made us all feel uncomfortable and willing to leave.
We still love Novikov, but sadly, this experience with Alain left a bad impression.

This was my third visit to Novikov and, unfortunately, the first truly disappointing one. My friend was celebrating her birthday, and I insisted we go to Novikov because it had always been a top-tier experience.
When we arrived, no one acknowledged the birthday, even though we mentioned it when making the reservation. Our waiter seemed distracted and rushed, barely looked at us, kept asking us to repeat our orders, and didnât offer any recommendations on what dishes were best.
The food this time was quite mediocre. My truffle rice was extremely salty, I could barely eat it. No one offered to refill our wine glasses when they were empty; we had to flag down the waiter each time.
When we ordered dessert, we asked for a candle to be placed in one of them. The response was a dry âokayâ (still no friendliness or birthday greeting, unlike in other restaurants where they make an effort).
I donât know what happened to Novikov, but I have no desire to return. The service was poor, the food was average, and it left a bitter aftertaste on what was supposed to be a special celebration.

For the price we paid , feel like we got ripped off. Thursday at 8:30 pm and the place was practically empty. Went to multiple high end restaurants on our trip , this was the most expensive and by far the worst. To top it off , waiter asked more tip after we paid 20% mandatory tip .
