The first time I went to Ogawa, it was on a fluke at the suggestion of a friend of mine who had been there before. I had no idea what to expect. I walked into a very petite intimate restaurant with only. 11 seats. The experience from start to finish was extraordinary. As a New Yorker, who is also in the hospitality business, I have high standards especially around sushi and Japanese cuisine. Ogawa Miami was an incredible experience. The space feels calm and intimate, the staff is welcoming, and every course of the omakase was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. The fish was some of the freshest I’ve had in Miami, and the pacing made it easy to enjoy each bite. Highly recommend if you want a thoughtful, elevated dining experience.
Service will WOW you, the chef even stayed outside when we were leaving and opened our uber door for my wife. Amazing experience, will start slow but don't be fooled, it will take you to heaven, will visit again when in Miami.
