I'm Brazilian and I've always eaten Portuguese food at home. I confess that today's experience was one of the best in terms of Portuguese cuisine. The sardines were absolutely perfect, accompanied by a good beer, along with the cod croquettes and seafood. We only had appetizers, and the experience was totally worth it.

First time on Old Lisbon, we tried the Caldeirada de Bacalhau Fresco (fresh cod stewed in tomato sauce with onions, peppers, and potatoes) and the Caldeirada de Peixes e Mariscos (seafood stew with shrimp, clams, mussels, squid, fish, and steamed potatoes).
Both dishes were good and comforting, with fresh ingredients and traditional flavors, though not outstanding. As our first introduction to Portuguese food, it was a pleasant experience, and we would come back to try other dishes on the menu.

Old Lisbon truly feels like stepping into the heart of Lisbon. From the azulejos on the walls to the cloth table settings, the details immediately transport you to Portugal.
The clams were very good—slightly acidic, but easily balanced with a less sharp white wine. Ordering bread is a must to fully enjoy the dish. The cod was juicy, with a pronounced oven-baked flavor and well-cooked onions. The red snapper was good, though a bit on the dry side.
Overall, the experience was very enjoyable and remarkably close to what you would expect in Lisbon itself. I’ll definitely be back to try the paella—many tables were ordering it, and it looked fantastic. 🥘

Carlos Abreu, the chef, is an artist and he knows how to capture the flavors of the Lisbon cuisine, watching him in action is a ballet.
I tried the grilled octopus, espectacular!
For desert I had the Portuguese custard tart with cinnamon, coffee is good too.
Highly recommend

Since several years we are regularly coming back to Old lisbon for the same reasons: excellent Portuguese food, and super service.

Arrived at 9:45 pm on a Monday and was told they only serve until 10 pm. Website hours display 12-11pm Mon-Fri. We did not appreciate to be denied service and would appreciate if the hours are up to date on the website.

The seafood pállela was so delicious! Its a huge plate that ordering one was plenty for two! The desert was delicious and white wine Verda was great. Service was fantastic. Price was good considering how delicious it was. Make a reservation. They were oacked. Will definitely go back soon.
One of my favorite Miami restaurants for years now. Superb wine list. The feijoada, stewed cod in steel terrine, the croquettes are always faves. Don’t leave without having the isla flotante and the pears soaked in port wine.
Amazing restaurant in Coral Gables. Portuguese traditional cuisine. Me and my wife have lunch or dinner at least once per month at Old Lisbon. I strongly recommend.
I recently dined at this restaurant and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Food: The food was delicious, with a menu that offers a wide variety of options. We ordered one appetizer, one main dish, and two glasses of wine. The portions were generous, we were able to share both orders and still had enough of the main dish to take home. The quality and quantity of the food make the mid-range prices feel entirely justified. Ambience: The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with just the right balance of lighting and music. The lights were soft without being too dim, and the music added to the ambience without being intrusive. The simple yet tasteful décor enhances the overall comfort. We visited late in the evening and experienced a mixed crowd; some quiet, some lively, which suggests the restaurant caters to a variety of guests. Service: The servers were friendly and attentive, contributing to a positive experience. At times, a few servers spoke a bit loudly, but it didn't significantly disrupt the overall ambience. Price: Our total bill for two, including tax and tip, was approximately $120. The pricing is mid-range, and the quality, portion sizes, and overall experience fully justify the cost. Overall: This was my second visit, and I left just as impressed as the first time. The combination of delicious food, comfortable ambience, and attentive service makes this restaurant a great option for a relaxed evening out. I look forward to returning and highly recommend giving it a try.
The food is good, but the building is a shame. There is black mold at all air vents. The lack of minimum maintaince is really sad.
If you want to eat while briefing BLACK MOLD, that’s the place to go.
