The food here is amazing! If you are looking to try authentic Portuguese food, this is where you should go! We tried the Portuguese sausage with vinho verde, that sauce was so delicious and complemented the sausage very well. We also ordered the caldo verde, the traditional soup with potatoes and collard greens, very tasty. However, the star of the meal was definitely the COD, our server suggested the Bacalhau a Lagareiro, it was a beautiful, fresh piece of baked cod and they serve it with a combination of caramelized onions and roasted red peppers and a baked potato. That was such a great dish. For dessert we had the pqsteis de nata, a traditional flaky cream tart, so satisfying. Our server Virginia was the best, she was helpful, warm, efficient and had a beautiful smile on her face the whole time. I will no doubt return to try other dishes in this simple little gem on Coral Way.

Call this place O-Part-O. It has two parts, one seafood and one non-seafood. The seafood restaurant is utterly magnificent and honors the great tradition of Northern Portuguese cooking. The non-seafood is thrown together as an afterthought. The non-seafood is third-rate at best. My mother played this right and ordered Northern Portuguese seafood classics. No one on the planet does grilled sardines better than the Portuguese. The cooks at Oporto grill sardines like masters. And they buy huge sardines. Any canner thinking about putting these sardines in a can would have had to think twice, because the fish were big enough to fight back. Oporto also does a first rate bacalhau, which is just as well because bacalhau represents a full third of their menu. The version my mother had had a wonderful char on the top. It was also served with onions and red peppers to die for. So she did well. I got a portuguese cheese deep fried with port sauce. The cheese was undersalted in the kitchen, and the port was provided in meager quantities. There was some spice in the deep fried breading - and when one hit a parsley bit, the dish got interesting. But it was a lackluster attempt. The chicken breast with creamy garlic sauce was completely dead. It was as if the cook was offended that I wasn't ordering fish, and had thrown something at me to keep me fed. Or they thought I was too geriatric to enjoy good food, so they made everything as bland as possible. Once again no salt. Also almost no garlic which is odd in a garlic sauce. The dish screamed for something like capers, or even something like parsley, but there was not a spice or a flavor to be had. They filled the plate up with a lot of homemade fresh out of the fryer potato chips. These are usually a real treat. I dive on hot fresh potato chips when I can get them. These were completely dead. Three quarters of my food was still on my plate when we left to go home. Fortunately, my mother has a small appetite, so her leftover sardines and bacalhau made a fine meal. * * * Robert Kelly has a hero, a super-genius psychoanalyst whose lesson for life is "Eat Fish and Thrive". This totally applies to Oporto. I say if they kill half of their menu, they could be one of the best restaurants in Miami.

OMG! The place is just amazing ! The attention is incredible. And the food of course is delicious, with very accesible prices. I discovered with them my new weakness, in the dessert's menu look for Delicias de Manuela you won't regret. Definitely I highly recommend Oporto Cafe!!

A unique find on Coral Way - a small "cafe" with a full menu of Portuguese food. If you love seafood, you'll probably love this place. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite and ordered squid in a delicious garlic cream sauce. The meals are on the pricier side but I'm sure they're delicious - we will be back to have a real meal. This seems like a classier place for an intimate meal, based on the decor and table settings.

portuguese food and the atmosphere here is very good. Service is always excellent even when they have a full house. Service is typically good. Similar to a cafe in Las Vegas I loved.

We arrived for our open table reservation on time and they took about 15 minutes to seat us. Invented a table that we didn't even fit in and then left us for an additional 10 minutes with no water, waiter, or acknowledgement. We ended up leaving after 25 minutes and no one even approached us or followed up with a phone call. Fire code capacity was 28 on the wall, and there were over 35 people in our area. Never going back there.

Portuguese food and the scene at this location is super good. Got there about one, it wasn't busy. I'll return with my relatives. The place has a nice atmosphere. I can see why they have a lot of good reviews.
