I was very disappointed with my experience here. The person taking my order had noticeable difficulty understanding me, and I had to repeat myself multiple times. He didn’t even recognize the name of a very typical Colombian dish, and someone standing next to him had to translate for him. This made the ordering process unnecessarily slow and frustrating.
The restaurant is essentially self-service — you have to get up, go to the counter to request what you want, and pay at the counter as well. Despite this, the older lady handling my payment insisted that I needed to leave a tip for the person who took my order. Being pressured to tip in a self-service environment, especially after such an unprofessional ordering experience, is completely unacceptable.
If this is considered normal service in Miami, then there’s a serious problem. Between the mediocre food, the confusion at the counter, and the push for tips despite poor service, I cannot recommend this place. Stay away.

Absolutely delish. Best Colombian empanadas I’ve had in a while. Super fresh and crunchy and the aji (the red sauce) is on the spicier side but that’s what I loveeeeeee ♡. Will be back soon!

I was there yesterday with my granddaughter ,the food take too long .they served first my arepa and then 20 minutes later my granddaughter chicken nuggets and fries. The arepa had no taste at all and the chicken nuggets so greasy. I didn’t like the food at all. Never comes back

The type of typical Colombian store is fine but there are 4 people serving but the mess is impressive...they take a long time to deliver and charge for a buñuelo and two empanadas, what an outrage
Today I visited this store to buy fritters for the New Year celebration. Originally, I had ordered 50 fritters, but after seeing it they looked empty inside the tray. I decided to ask for the tray to be filled to improve its visual presentation. It didn't matter if there were 70, 80 or 90 fritters; the point was that the tray was full. However, the store refused to comply with this simple request and instead of filling the tray they only added 10 fritters to the tray. When I complained that the tray was still not full. They offered to put them on a second option tray which I declined and insisted that tray be full and they insisted that I was. At this point I was already upset and decided not to give the business any more money so I asked for a discount for such a large order. They told me it wasn't possible. When collecting the order, the employee also asked for a tip for an order that was being picked up. When I told him I wasn't going to tip him because the company wasn't able to give a discount for a large order so I'm not able to tip he got offended.
I feel disappointed because I expected better service and the attentive attitude that the Paisa people stand out for. If these issues are not fixed, I likely will not purchase from this store again. There are many other places in Miami that sell delicious beignets and offer better customer service.
I hope the store takes my comments into account and makes the necessary changes to improve the customer experience.
