I read all these reviews below of how good it was. This was the worst Chinese food I have had in my life. Delivery was fast and food arrived at a good temperature but it all tasted horrible. I’ve never ordered food where it was so bad I could not even eat half of it. The wontons tasted like toaster strudels. The szechuan beef had no flavor at all. The egg roll was decent. The wonton soup tasted like canned soup. The special fried rice was not good. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things?

For us it was a welcome opportunity to avoid the very expensive and, above all, mostly fatty and sweet food in Miami. A small shop with all sorts of items and a Chinese food delivery service.

This is not good. I ordered hot and sour soup. When it arrived, they had added shrimp, beef and chicken in the soup ‍ They forgot to add tofu and pork. I told them I only wanted tofu and pork added to the soup. Moreover, I ordered jumbo fried shrimp. The shrimp was burned to a crisp! The fried rice was not bad. I called the restaurant. They resent the order. The food arrived cold. On top of that , instead of getting hot and sour soup as previously ordered I ended up with Wonton soup. Stay away from this restaurant. Terrible!

I ordered ham fried rice online. I mentioned not to add beansprouts, because I am highly allergic to beansprouts. I received the ham fried rice with beansprouts even after I had mentioned I was highly allergic to beansprouts! I called the restaurant to complain. They apologized but they diid not resend the fried rice without the beansprouts. Horrible customer service. Stay away. This is very sad.

We have been regulars since 2005 but our order today was simply superb! The best Chinese food we’ve ever had!

I was born and raised in NYC the Bronx, so I'm very prejudiced to tasting Chinese food from home. Having just recently moved to Brickell Miami, I was very happy to find this place. The pork fried rice was very good with abundant chunks of meat. Bigger and better than I had seen in a long time in NYC. I made it a point to let the lady know at the counter that I was pleased to find this place, especially since I'm from NYC. The beef with broccoli was very good as well.

Normally food is good but tonight I ordered x delivery and it was awful!!! Food felt old not fresh at all!!! It was cold and hard to eat. Fried chicken wings felt refried and dark color, jumbo fried shripms you could not find any large ones but just bread crumbs. Overall very bad experience!!! I called and talked to the manager and she said she was going to check with chef. Nothing else and she was very sorry. I have been a customer x many years and this is the 3rd time it's happened! Not anymore. Very disappointed ?!!!

This place is practically incognito, so low key is the signage and so unremarkable the building; I've passed it hundreds of times without even knowing it was there, but it has been for many years. After our first delivery order last night, Pekin shall be our go-to for American-style Chinese food going forward. SUPERB.Pekin's menu is a boomer's delight, featuring all the great classic takeout Chinese dishes which I remember as a kid, stuff that's not trendy enough for the "modern American Chinese" cuisine which has replaced it. I love PF Chang's as much as anyone else but if you are craving old-school, Pekin's hot and sour soup, fried pork wontons, and sliced pork in brown sauce with veggies is as good as it gets. Everything was super fresh, delicious, speedy delivery; portions were very generous and prices excellent.I gave "atmosphere" 3 stars because I didn't want to leave it blank; if the interior is like the exterior, it isn't likely a place I'd go to eat. But the kitchen, there is MAGIC going on in the kitchen! We are thrilled to have "discovered" this wonderful place right around the corner from the Grove and look forward to working our way through their massive delivery menu....Congrats, Team Pekin!
