We had a waitress Shawn that was a delight! She was so professional and informative about the menu. She is such an asset to this restaurant! This was our second time because the first time we did not get to try the fried chicken! We loved the food! Ceasar salad and yucca fries are a must! Loved the fried chicken!

Red Rooster is more than a restaurant. It’s an experience. From the soulful music to the decadent food to the atmosphere dripping with Black excellence, it feels like stepping into an oasis. The service matched the vibe, too. Our server, Shelbry, was knowledgeable, personable, and a total class act. I ordered the oxtails, my husband had the shrimp and grits, and every single bite proved the chefs put intention and care into their craft.

Had to adjust my score, had been a fan for years. Paid almost $100 for an event I thought was on another day, Event Mngr made no attempt to compensate At ALL. Solid food, but a lot of places that have good food. What makes places stand out is Customer Service,

This is very much one of my favorite restaurants but yesterday they seemed off their game and I'd dragged friends over from across the city to come try it.
Our ribs while flavorful were nowhere near as tender as they've been in previous visits. The salmon was fine but not memorable like their other dishes. The flavors were confusing. The jerk cauliflower is probably one of the most delicious vegetarian foods I've had BUT having lived in Puerto Rico I'd say calling that a mofongo is a huge stretch. The cauliflower was stacked on sweet plantains, fried yucca and tostones. Mofongo as I've always had it, is just green plantains in a mash. The yucca and sweet plantains really changed those flavors for me. It was good, but it's hard to know that you'll be getting that from what is listed on the menu.
Desserts were really late, our server forgot to put them in and we all even had to extend parking so we could sit and enjoy it. Eek. Checks were the next delay but we were able to pay and get out the door. It's one of our favorite restaurants so it hurts to see them stumble. Hoping my friends liked the food enough and will give the service a second chance.
Chris was very accommodating and made sure we were able to get seated when the place was packed. She was very attentive! We got the Kings Jambalaya and it was SO GOOD. Definitely fed 4 of us. This was my first time here and it was lovely!!

We had an amazing time Carlos was AMAZING super knowledgeable and extremely sweet. The food was also very good, highly recommend the Cajun shrimp, fried fish and for the Mac n Cheese. Buffet style at that RUN don’t walk !
