The experience today at this place was HORRENDOUS. This place has deteriorated so much. The vaca frita was not shredded but it was huge boiled chunks of chicken with no seasoning, that tasted like boiled cardboard. It had a weird orange color and pieces of the skin that were soggy and slimy. The whole thing looked like a plate of vomit. All the food was cold and the the ripe plantains were burned on the outside and raw on the inside. Service was slow and deficient although the place was (not surprisingly) empty. I complained to the manager whose name is Michael and he was totally unreceptive and gave one excuse after the other about their food. Not even slightly apologetic or receptive. He kept stating me down and giving me these dirty looks afterwards (childish behavior) until I left the place. Mind you, I am an elderly lady. This used to be a nice place with good home cooked meals. Not any more. It is terrible. This Michael guy should not be working with people much less be a manager anywhere. I wonder if the owner knows how terrible it is there. I will never set foot in that place again and will make sure to tell everyone I know about it.

I have eaten here for years because I live in the area, and I should have learned my lesson a while ago but I have a thing for second chances . Food isn’t always terrible so maybe it’s a certain chef .. but on occasion the eggs will not be fully cooked through at breakfast , the grits used to be so thick and delicious and recently, it’s a water soup 🤢 oh..and the large piece of toast comes with a tiny cut at the top it never comes sliced all the way through - maybe it’s a DIY breakfast and you have to complete it when you get home ? Idk but what I do know is I will never be eating here again.

Food used to be good and quantity was good. Now prices are double, less food and the quality is very poor. Had take out breakfast, bacon not cooked correctly , eggs not made to order and grits were a bucket of water. Been coming here for many years, I wont go back again.

I came here for the first time to have breakfast and it was great the reason why im giving them 3 stars is because of the shake i came here to get another time the mamey had no mamey and the trigo had no trigo both tasted like sugar and water of course i got my money back! Make sure you try youre shakes before you leave!!

Horrible service. They take forever to take your order there is 1 other table occupied a 2 waitresses. This used to be one of our stop when visiting Miami. Never again. Added picture so you can see the restaurant is empty. The staff is so unfriendly and not welcoming at all.
