The restaurant is clean. The food is very good. You could tell the staff were not to happy with each other. No one greeted the customers. Not even the regulars. I cannot believe I have driven past this place so many times It took someone from out of town to be in the car. We grabbed some burgers and they were amazing. Each and every bite was absolutely delicious. The lady who assisted us was pleasant and helpful and the cook killed. And to top it off we got to learn a little bit of history about this business. I SUGGEST YOU MAKE THE TRIP HERE!!
This is the last Royal Castle left on the planet. Royal Castle is to South Florida what White Castle is to the Midwest. They made their first slider in 1938, and at its peak in the 1960's, there were over 150 locations, 40 of which were in South Florida. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a 7, although I give the owner a 10 for keeping the last one open, terrazzo floors, and all. It's worth a visit for historical reasons alone.
