Great find during a recent trip to Homestead. Cuban coffee, amazing plantain stuffed with shrimp, an atmosphere that is photo worthy to include a mechanical bull. Best of all are the owners and staff who were so hospitable and friendly. If you haven’t been to Royd’s it’s a must do! Family friendly and a neat petting zoo area. An artist has painted the railings and created totem poles throughout the site. Extensive menu and gazing options at this restaurant/farm.

It's rarely that I give 5 starts to a restaurant but this one deserves it. Being a Vegetarian, we were looking for lunch options while in the Homestead area while travelling towards Florida keys.

We accidentally happened to stop by this place. We were impressed by how inviting this restaurant felt. We walked around and saw food trucks which emitted delicious aroma when you pass by them. With lots of greenery, open from the sides, big kids playing area, a family who loves nature can't ask for a better ambience.

We were recommended and ordered below:
1. Vegan Rice Bowl - which had beans, avocado, grilled plantains, broccoli
2. Vegetarian Cuban Sandwich
3. Mac and Cheese for kids
4. Con Leche - Cuban Coffee
5. Steamed Cassava - cooked to perfection topped with grilled/fried garlic - ate nothing like it before - was delicious
6. Strawberry Milkshake
7. Orange Carrot Fresh Juice

Everything ordered above was very flavourful, ate to hearts content, served with warmth, was fresh. An extra star for the amazing Cilantro chutney, Hot Chillies with oil - both made in house.

Would highly recommend anyone passing by to definitely try this place.

P.S. - We loved the food and experience so much, we visited it twice both while going and returning from Key West.

Nice place with a cool western country vibe. We had their daily special of Fricasé de Pollo and it was really good. Had the opportunity to speak with the owner and she was very personable. We’ll definitely be back.

Nice place and scenery is beautiful but we didn’t get to eat since we had to leave after waiting 20 minutes and nobody came to take our order

We visited this place twice, once while going to key west and while coming back. Owner Mirabella (hope I spelled it right) was so sweet to help us out with vegetarian options. Place is big and has ample of toys for kids to play. Very clean and farm to table food. Mirabella made sure we enjoyed every bite. We tried veg Cuban sandwich, amazing strawberry smoothie( must order) , orange carrot juice( must try) , cassava with garlic and fried onion. Everything from start to end was excellent. Cuban coffee was too good.

the cuban food here is not very good. we had the vaca frita and it was very bland and lackluster. the moros tasted like they were made with canned beans, the maduros were about as small as i have ever seen. the chili was a really small portion with a mountain of white onion, not very balanced. the media noche was a hate crime. they didn’t even press the sandwich, it was just this goofy cold sandwich that was way over priced.
the service was okay, would have been nice if they would have checked in so that i could order drink refills or whatever, but the place was pretty empty and it was beyond me why there was no one around to check on the tables.
they have farm animals in the back, which was nice. some goats, golden pheasant, a lamb, and a pig.

i would never recommend this place. the food was pretty bad (table consensus), the service was terrible, the prices were too high for what it was, and the whole place feels like a tourist trap.

there’s a bunch of places in the area to get really great food. skip this one.

My sister had a gathering for her family today and my husband and I felt lucky we were invited as well because we got a taste of Royd’s terrific food. From the delicious fried plantain mariquitas, homemade ham croquetas, masitas de puerco, chicken a la plancha with onions and lemon, and enchilada de pescado, along with white rice, black beans, maduros, and tostones, awww man everything was FINGER LICKING GOOD! Just can’t say enough for the perfectly cooked Cuban food, to the amazing service, and fun activities surroundings the dining areas for young and old alike! I will definitely be back to eat this delicious food again! A hidden gem on Krome Ave you don’t want to miss!

The place is beautiful and the waitresses are really nice but the food is not good at all. The queso frito is store bought mozzarella sticks, the tostones were Goya tostones, the food in general was bad or mediocre and the portions were gourmet!

We recently hosted a baby shower for a co-worker at Royds, and it turned out great. From the moment we arrived, the setting was perfect — the outdoor space is cozy yet an elegant atmosphere, with plenty of seating and beautiful décor and plants that added to the charm of the event.

The staff is always incredibly attentive and accommodating.

The outdoor setting provided a refreshing, relaxed vibe that was perfect for a baby shower celebration.

Whether you're planning a small gathering or a larger event or simply just want to have lunch with family or friends, I highly recommend.

Maribel is the sweetest and always ensures we are well taken care of when we dine in for lunch as well.
