I absolutely love this place. Food is always crispy and fresh. The flavor Is amazing and nothing will ever compare. The restaurant gives old school vibes and I really enjoy it. The staff is super welcoming! They play good music. I give this a 10/10 just because the food and atmosphere like won’t be found anywhere else.

My partner Augie and I ate lunch at this legendary Miami Cuban restaurant. We had an order of hot thin french fries to start. They were crispy and very tasty. The restaurant obviously changes their frying oil frequently as the fries tasted great. Next we had two different Cuban sandwiches. I had a breaded steak Cuban sandwich with ham, cheese and potato sticks on fresh toasted Cuban bread basted with garlic butter. Augie had a traditional Cuban sandwich. Both sandwiches were magnificent. My breaded steak Cuban sandwich was the best sandwich I've ever had. We'll definitely be back soon ! We recommend SARUSSI SUB SHOP highly !

For me, one of the best places for sandwiches in Miami, the original one from the house is a delight. I recommend it without fear of being wrong.

Great atmosphere with great staff who were very attentive. I had no idea Man V. Food was filmed there but it was cool to see the place was already a hit. I had the original Cuban sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce they use is super good and gives it its unique twist to the Cuban sandwich. The fritanga wrap is another huge hit with the typical plate you would get in a fritanga all in a wrap!

It’s a decent sandwich but really nothing special and definitely OVERPRICED, a 16” sandwich is over $20, half that is $11.49. The preparation is a half a dozen sandwiches premade sitting on a tray covered in plastic wrap and just reheated in their pizza ovens. The sandwiches are not ‘overstuffed’. They do have a double portion sandwich, it’s also double the money so $39.90 for a 16” sandwich, that seems ridiculous for ham, Swiss, thin slice roast pork and a few pickles. There’s also a sur-charge for credit card that was never mentioned. So two 16” Cuban sandwiches and two sodas is a $50 meal. They’re know for their special sauce, it’s good but not “wow”. I wouldn’t miss it if wasn’t on the sandwich. So for me this just too much money for these sandwiches. Value is poor. Place is clean, low frills, it was fine. No issues. The staff women were more interested in talking to each other than anything. Felt like I was inconveniencing them when I tried getting their attention for something. Park is limited to three spots on the side street The restaurant can accommodate a lot more than 3 carloads of people. I won’t be back. And would say you get decent Cuban sandwich and most Mom and pop Cuban spots all around Miami.

Yes, I went to Calle 8. Tremenda m…. Also the worst customer service I have received in Miami. Without greeting, zero kindness, the lady gave me the order with a turned face. Everything was horrible that I had to laugh at the chaos. The wrap I ordered in the TikTok videos has nothing to do with reality. They pressed…
