Stopped by Selva Negra for the first time for a to go order. Friends have spoken favorably of this restaurant. I’m on a carnivore diet and ordered a large Carne Asada with Queso Frito ( Fried Cheese). The service was prompt and polite. Since I didn’t want any side other than the cheese they gave me an additional queso frito. They have lots of parking in the rear of the restaurant and the interior area was spacious and clean. The wait was a-bit since they cook fresh to order. However the wait for the Carme Asada was well worth the time and it was one of the best tasting I’ve had to date. I will definitely patronize this establishment again. Just Delicious!

We went there for lunch on a Sunday. The service was fast but not very good. The server ignored my request to have the sauce on the side. The steak was though and the sauce did not taste like jalapeño sauce. We had to ask for water three times. I don't recommend this restaurant for authentic Nicaraguan food

Impressed with authenticity de un restaurante Nicaraguense que refleja la cultura. El personal super atentos a nosotros y en presentar el restaurante y comida. Cacao was 10/10 in regards to taste and presentation was superb - from made in Nicaragua cups. So was the rest of the decor, from Nicaragua representing the country beautifully. La parrilla with different meats were tasty and juicy…chicken was delicious. Love that staff and restaurant are kids friendly. I had one issue regarding miscommunication with gratuity. Our server brought the receipt for signature but did not include receipt with everything consumed plus gratuity. I asked server and total was a different amount in the final receipt. Service was amazing which is why pregunte pa dar mas pero me sentí que mintieron. We contacted restaurant and issue resolved. Kids love the gallo pinto y maduros.
Good music ?, professional attention, they sing happy birthday in a unique and fun way

Nothing out of this world. The music was too loud and inappropriate for a restaurant.
In the chimichurri on my table there were some pieces of shrimp shell in the sauce.

The food was good. I had the grilled steak which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. However, the price were a little higher for the portion sizes. It's a nice place for a special occasion but not something I'd do frequently. Service was great and the vibe was chill.

I have visited the place at least 3 times, the food and desserts have always been delicious; The attention from the waiters has also been very good, I just wish they had a space to change diapers in the bathrooms.
Kid-friendliness: There is no place to change diapers in the bathrooms
