Stopped in for lunch for the first time and had an amazing experience with Sade. She made sure we had everything we needed and was so kind. I’ll definitely come back because of her.

I first came to Shortlys in the late 1960s as a kid. Even after the big fire in the 70s it's not changed a bit. I will miss this place after they shut it down in a few years.

Ribs were hard, ask for different ones and they gave me dry ribs covered in sauce. Not really impressed today.

The food is just as phenomenal as the service. You can tell that the employees here really care about each other and making sure that people have a good time when they come here. Dory was phenomenal and heartwarming! Possibly the sweetest server I have ever had!

Food was sub par and holy moly what is the smell outside in the parking lot it flows into the restaurant absolutely disgusting

Everything was spectacular. From the super delicious food to the friendly attention of the staff. The atmosphere is quite familiar. 100% recommended.

This was our 1st time here, and let me tell you, they take forever for your food to come to you. And I had to use the restroom but ran out cause it stink and it was disgusting. And as you can see in the pics of the restroom and the men's was worse according to my husband and he's 6'5 so it was very uncomfortable. And they swept but left the trash there as you can see in the Pic. And the sitting area is all connected, so if you get other people sitting next to you and they act like jerks. There'll be problems . I don't like the sitting areas.

This place has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid, however, it's not quite up to par as it used to be. Their sliced pork and sliced beef don't have much flavor, they taste almost like they've been boiled rather than barbecued. But slather them with Shorty's famous barbecue sauce and sandwich them between two pieces of garlic bread, and you've really got something!

I assumed this would be good since it was busy on a Friday I drove by and has decent reviews. Finally made it over on a Wednesday and while this might be decent BBQ for South Florida, I wouldn't go back. The meats were overcooked; practically a cardinal sin in BBQ. Our waitress was very inattentive despite very little business at the time. While waiting on her to bring things in hand she would routinely stop and joke with another waitress for 3-5 minutes. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. If you want good BBQ, go to the actual South.
