Went to SipSip for a couple drinks before dinner during their happy hour. We ordered a couple including a Mai Tai, described on the menu as Appleton Estate VX (Appleton doesn't have a five year, and a five year would just be V, must be a typo for the 15 year), Wrey & Nephew over proof, orgeat, lime, rock syrup, Curacao. That sounds like the perfect Mai Tai. Unfortunately, I got Goslings, Bacardi, COCONUT, lime, and triple sec, not a Mai Tai. That's a bait and switch (I think I just named the drink he made). When I asked about the orgeat, one bartender told me he would never put that in a Mai Tai and instead use coconut rum, it's Florida. They had five or six bartenders and one finally knew how to make it correctly although they didn't stock the rums listed on the menu. When the bill came, they charged full price for the drinks, not the happy hour price. On the way out of the hotel I complained to the hotel manager, he got the food manager who is completely inexperienced and let me leave without even a sorry. Owning a restaurant myself I know not to let a customer leave upset, give them a reason to come back with maybe a free round of drinks or some kind of discount in the future, it's a lot cheaper than losing all the business from the bad word of mouth. I told everyone I talked to about the bad drinks and a couple will see it here.EDIT: Thank you for the clarification on the rum. I wasn't aware Appleton made a blended rum. They don't have it on their website, only the nice rums they make. I'm not sure how I forgot to mention that a "rum bar" should have a bigger selection of rum, 6 or 7 is a joke.

The views and atmosphere alone are amazing however, ever since this place has started getting popular their service and prices have gotten out of hand! I used to come for happy hour a lot because it was great! However, last happy hour cost me $27 for a spicy margarita….Absolutely ridiculous! They also don’t give you an itemized receipt so beware! The whole point of happy hour is a discount….will never be back for happy hour. Go spend your money at every other place in the grove!!

Sipsip is a great rooftop bar right in the heart of Coconut Grove! The views at sunset are spectacular, and they have an extensive happy hour menu including both food and drink specials. I recommend the sliders and the rum cocktail, and they have a good selection of beers as well. There's usually a lot of staff members even at peak hours when the bar tends to get busy, so I've never had to wait too long to be served. To get to the rooftop, just walk thru the lobby of the hotel and head to the elevators on the left of the atrium. You won't be disappointed!

I came here for my partner's boyfriend on a random Friday night- it was located in the heart of Coconut Grove & the vibes were immaculate . We didn't order the food - but stayed for drinks & really took full advantage of the atmosphere! There was a DJ all night & a fire place (who knew we needed one in Miami) overall great experience! Will definitely be returning.

I worked at Sipsip while staying at the Mayfair. The service was excellent and attentive, I was even able to connect with our server over our New York routes. I got the Island Chicken Skewers and the sweet chili glaze was the perfect amount of spice for me. I loved the views from the rooftop, you can either see the water or Coconut Grove depending which way you're looking out. I would definitely recommend this spot as a midday remote work station. The Wi-Fi is great, it's not too noisy and you get to enjoy beautiful views when you look up from your email!

There's nothing better than a rooftop pool/bar area, especially with a view of the gulf! The aesthetic is a whole island vibe and really makes you feel like you're on a five star vacation (even just for a couple hours). The cabana beds are a great option for private lounge seating, and the pool is the perfect size for the space. SipSip also has a full drink and food menu, and tried the fish dip, ceviche, and even the beef hot dog was divine. It's certainly not somewhere you go just for the food (probably more-so the view and the rum), but for bar food the options are pretty expansive and I can appreciate that.

The place is fine, just make sure to ask for an itemized receipt. We stayed at the mayfair house for a wedding last weekend and several wedding guests were also victims of receiving a bill that had an option to tip but didn't say anywhere that 18% gratuity had already been added. It felt very grimy

A rooftop bar in the heart of coconut grove at the Mayfair Hotel. If you've never been to coconut grove I'd suggest you check out the Mayfair it's like a historical landmark. The bar is great and offers a Caribbean vibe of music and cocktails.

Sip sip is the cutest little rum bar on the rooftop of the Mayfair. I've been a few times and the water views of the Grove Marina are excellent. As for drinks, I've gotten piña coladas here and an Aperol spritz. Both were solid, as this gives vacation drink vibes all the way. They also offer food, and I love their fish dip. Regardless of if you are staying in the hotel you can enjoy this rooftop bar. As the weather cools down this is a great spot to enjoy some drinks outdoors.

I was in the Coconut Grove and wanted to try SipSip's happy hour. I've been once before and really enjoyed it at night but wanted to experience it during the day. Came by around 530pm for their Friday happy hour that's from 5-7pm. SipSip is a rooftop bar located in the Mayfair Hotel. The rooftop is very nice and has a lovely view of the water. There's seating in the bar and tables around the area. The staff was kind and the menu included cocktails, beer, wine and some bites. Definitely a great experience and a must visit spot in the grove!

I had the pleasure of visiting the rooftop rum bar located at the Mayfair hotel, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The combination of the pool, the panoramic views, and the extensive drink selection made for an unforgettable evening. Sipping on delicious rum cocktails while enjoying the cityscape from such heights was a unique thrill. The attentive staff ensured we had a fantastic time, and the ambiance was both chic and relaxed. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just looking for a stunning place to unwind, this rooftop bar is a must-visit destination. It's the perfect spot to take in the city's beauty while enjoying top-notch libations. I recommend trying their crispy fish tacos. They are absolutely DELICIOUS!
