I quick googled soul food from the airport after visiting my family in New York and just feeling nostalgic. I saw this place and the vibration in the photo on google said “come on in” the space smells amazing. The floors are sparkly clean. The host and hostess were so kind and so generous with information and serving size.I was with my friend we orderedThe Sunday BBQ specials of Ribs and ChickenRice and Peaa, mac n cheese, string beans, fried okra, and plantains. Everything is freshly made and delicious.The vintage signs and art and clocks remind me of all my grandparents and community back home. I will recommend this space to friends and family and be visitor more! Thank YOU

This is my third time visiting Miami and I always try to travel to different restaurants each time. This will for sure be a repeat spot for me. The Oxtails were so tender falling off the bone!! The seasoning on the green beans and Mac and cheese was on point !! Waited maybe 10-15 mins for the food, was good customer service.

I've been in Miami since Sunday October 30th. And today is November 1st and me and my girlfriend came all the way from Dallas Texas. I tried several places here in Miami. But this place was the best place that I've eaten in Miami. And this may be the best soul food I've ever had in my life. And I'm a soul food fanatic. They have absolutely great food there and great service. The building is kind of old but I didn't come there to eat the building. I came there to eat the food and enjoy the service in the food and service was absolutely great. Big ups to all those guys over there. I will definitely be back when I come to Miami again.

My mom ordered a burger and they said it would be very tender and easy to chew which was good because she has dental issues. sorry to say she had a shoe leather thin piece of lace meat with holes all through it. My chicken breaded sandwich was ok but I wasn't a fan of the flavor of the breading. The saving grace were the French fried which were nice and salty. This is a one time visit for us but the woman at the front was very very nice and tried hard to please us.

I have some good laughs at this place from the time I walked up to the door it was a guy sitting outside on the truck eating asking how was the food he said great I said what should I try he told me just get one of everything lol this is a family-owned restaurant so he most likely was one of the family but the food was great service was good and it's right by my grandparents house so I'll be back for sure

Stopped for a quick dinner after landing late at the Miami airport and was pleasantly surprised. Although the restaurant air felt stagnant and smelled of astringent cleaning product, the staff were professional and friendly, and the food was higher quality Southern comfort food. We got the ribs and the smothered pork chops.Parking: On-site angled parking in front of the restaurant

My wife and I went twice on different days and times and got a variety of foods. Both servers were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you for your excellent customer service. As for the food, exceptional. Mac, slaw, yams really good. Turkey wings, chicken same. Both were seasoned, juicy, and large as far as a portion. But the collard greens were the best we have ever had. Not even a close second. Going back again for catfish and shrimp. Check the pictures out and give them a try. You will be full of tasty goodness and you won't be broke because the prices were very good. Bless up!!

The best Soul Food. Large selection. The smothered pork chops, oxtails, stew beef, fried conch are my favorite. The sides; black eyes peas, mac 'n cheese, rice, limes, collards, cabbage and more are delicious also. There's a whole lot more. Breakfast is great too! Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
