Love the burgers, fries and shakes, but on my last visit the place smelled weird, maybe a dirty grease trap or something else unappetizing (smell is a really important sense when it comes to dining and potentially indicative of something unsanitary). Also found a fly stuck to the inside of my soda cup and only saw it after I finished it 🤮 Not coming back anytime soon. Scared to even look up the FL health inspector info here.

I visit this location often relatively around the same 10pm-11pm window and always order a shake via drive-thru with no issues. Other times, there's a specific younger female that works the drive-thru that always opens her speech with "We don't have shakes." Normally, I would have no choice. Today, I encountered this person and as I pull away to leave, because I was craving a sweet shake, I decided to order my shake on Uber eats and received the shake.....my question is why doesn't this individual or any employee advise customers that they're serving shakes for only those that come in through the lobby.....had I not tested take out on Uber eats, no one would get any shakes through the drive-thru after 10pm.
The service was great and the food was good. I haven't had Steak 'n Shake in years. While I'm in the area, I will visit again.
