I ate at Azabu two times during a recent trip to Miami Beach. I loved the atmosphere and the excellent service provided by the wait staff. The first time that I came here, I ordered a spicy tuna roll, lobster roll, eel avocado roll, and drinks. The sushi was delicious and melted in my mouth. I returned to Azabu four days later for the delicious sushi and my experience with the food was completely different. I ordered the same sushi rolls, drinks, and dessert. The sushi was tasteless and did not appear to be fresh. The drinks were watered down. I am not sure if I would come back to Azabu again based on my mixed experience.
Went for the first time during Miami Spice. The food was delicious especially the Wagyu beef and mochi ice cream. Very nice atmosphere and great mocktails.
This restaurant featured an authentic Japanese menu and was beautifully appointed. This place would be great for romantic dates- the waitstaff was friendly, nice, and courteous with our questions and helped us make the best choices from the menu. The cocktail list included many combinations we had not had before and was fun to explore. We loved this place and would definitely include it in our travel plans next year.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with a modern and elegant ambiance. But what really stood out to me was the amazing service provided by Robert, our server. He was attentive, and friendly, and made excellent recommendations for both food and drinks.
Had dinner w my 2 adult daughters. Alcohol is WAY overpriced (*note they add tax & 18% gratuity to everything regardless). Edamame was good; typical. Pork pot stickers were very, very good. Beef skewers were just okay. My girls liked the California roll, veggie roll & shrimp roll. Donuts for dessert were okay. Food came out fine but once we had our food, never saw our waitress again. Had to track her down to get the bill, then to run the bill.
My husband and I enjoyed an outdoor dinner that was supreme. The snow crab fried rice was prepared table side - wow! Also had lobster tempura. Both were absolutely delicious. Wow, what a find!
If you’re a sushi lover avoid this restaurant. Terrible quality sushi. Terribly overpriced. Awful cocktails. Service was pleasant, that was the only positive.
I went to The Den with my wife and father in law. All three of us got food poisoning at the restaurant. After a week of trying to contact the restaurant, Jose the manager called my wife to say it was impossible to have gotten sick at the restaurant. He had absolutely no interest over her health. Not what expect from a restaurant that claims “an unforgettable omakase experience.”
I went for a quick dinner and was served by Arendale. He was amazing, quick and knowledgeable and suggested the Miami Spice menu. Had a great chat with Arenadale, food came out very quick and was delicious . Definitely recommending the place if you want to have an amazing service and great food. And again hands down to our server Arendale - professional and very efficient .

We ordered the Miami special for $45 per a person for two. It came with an appetizer, main course with a side and dessert. Each dish was very tasty and the Waygu Beef was excellent so tender and flavorful! The Brussel sprouts were very yummy and the coconut ice cream dessert was amazing! It's a must go to when in Miami! The reviews are on point! Our waitress was as sweet as could be too! I'll be back when I visit next time!
Incredible sushi in an intimate space that has an amazing Happy Hour. I’ve been to just about all the Sushi restaurants in Miami and Azabu is the best. The Sushi is on par with some of the restaurants in New York.
Visiting South Beach, I noticed the reviews so I had to try. This is definitely one of the top Japanese/Sushi restaurants I have been to in this country. I had a reservation, but since alone I opted for dinner at the bar. The young lady (wish I got her name) was amazing with both her service and knowledge of the menu. Since I was in time for happy hour I had some selections from the happy hour menu as well as the regular menu for appetizers. Had the branzino for an entree. Each dish left me smiling and wanting more. This restaurant is amazing and definitely worth the great reviews. For a restaurant of this caliber I found the prices to be inline and reasonable. I will be back.
Tucked away inside the Stanton hotel, not far away from the buzz of Miami Beach. Cool cocktail options and fresh sushi/sashimi, in my opinion just as good or better than more famous Nobu, Novikov, etc. Everything was tremendous especially the crispy tuna rice starter, pork dumplings and the cooked black cod. The sushi and rolls were all great with nothing left on the plates. Their toro is out of this world. (toro tasting) Suggest you eat ‘family style’ and order a range of items as portions tend to be small-ish. Last but not least, we want to mention Raúl, who walked us through the menu and helped us make the right choices - his service was attentive and friendly. Coming back to eat here when back in town!
Azabu has become for sure one of my favorite, it is located inside the Stanton Hotel on Ocean Drive btw 1st and 2nd. I have been for dinner a few times but, I really love to sit at the bar and have their Kanpai Hour, every day from 6 to 8 pm, it includes really great food and drinks at Happy Hour price, here some of my all-time favorites : Hamachi Jalapeño Asian Eggplant Brussels Sprouts Spicy Tuna Roll Baked Crab Roll and from the regular menu the Lobster Tempura all super delicious and this time we had room for dessert, we had the doughnuts which come with chocolate mousse and I think it was raspberry sauce, really yummy ! All this with lovely prosecco The staff there is really great from Brian to J.R and Alex, everyone very friendly and lovely, it has definitely become one of my regular resident places to go to even though it is in a hotel on Ocean Drive but………… it is in the good part of Ocean Drive and it is a lovely stylish place, if you try it you will not regret it @azabumiami @stantonstobe For more of my favorite restaurants, places and more, like my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or follow me on Instagram @naddias_favorites
